Kevin Costner is heavily into Western drama when he’s not doing his sports drama films. The actor headlined Taylor Sheridan’s series set in a Montana ranch, Yellowstone. He’s also currently working on his two-part dream Western project, Horizon. With all his love for the cowboy genre, it would be surprising for fans to know that Costner turned down a villain role in Django Unchained.
Yellowstone star Kevin Costner turned down a role in Quentin Tarantino’s Western film
The Quentin Tarantino film had a stellar star cast, including Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christoph Waltz, and Samuel L. Jackson. Costner would have been an interesting addition to the film if he didn’t have to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.

Xbox Game Pass has been Microsoft’s saving grace for the last few years in the console wars and Phil Spencer is adamant about seeing the growth of their subscription-based streaming service for years to come. We recently got the opportunity to talk to Cliff Bleszinski ahead of his appearance in the upcoming Shark Tank-inspired Wolves Den, and it was quite an illuminating chat, if a little short!
From his thoughts on Phil Spencer’s Xbox Game Pass/Game aims, his hopes for the show, what he wants to see, and who he thinks is the Sharon Osborne of the judges, to his simple request for the ending of Gears of War franchise, he didn’t hold anything back!
Wolves Den is the Gaming Shark Tank
If you’re wondering what Wolves Den is, the best explanation would be a gaming-centric Shark Tank (Dragon’s Den for you European folk), where contestants submit their ideas for games, and then throughout the rounds develop and refine them with the help and guidance of industry specialists like Cliff, all hosted and shown on the Spatial.io platform.

Here are two words for those who believe Christopher Nolan can’t possibly lose the Best Director race at this year’s Academy Awards for “Oppenheimer”: Bob Fosse. And here are three more: Francis Ford Coppola.
When you think about how many consider Coppola’s 1972 masterpiece “The Godfather” to be perhaps the greatest American film ever made, it might shock them to learn that while the film won Oscars in ’73 for Best Picture, Adapted Screenplay and Best Actor for Marlon Brando, Coppola lost the director race to Fosse for “Cabaret.” Nothing against Fosse or his iconic musical, but his win over Coppola was shocking even if deserved. The lesson is that you simply never know what might happen on Oscar night. “Oppenheimer” could clean up, as is being widely predicted, and Nolan could still somehow miss out even though all indicators tell us it’s a done deal.

If you’ve missed those creepy, cinematic videos capital-r Rawk bands used to dish out in the ’90s, Bush have got you covered with the clip for their new song “Nowhere to Go But Everywhere.” Watch an age-defying Gavin Rossdale go full cyborg in the music video below.
As the requisite new song tacked onto Bush’s upcoming Greatest Hits compilation, “Nowhere to Go But Everywhere” is all about the common tendency to hold onto the past and resist change — especially in one’s appearance. In the accompanying music video, directed by Jesse Davey, Rossdale represents our youth-obsessed culture by undergoing a de-aging procedure that’s straight out of a sci-fi, post-apocalyptic novel.
“While anyone can identify with clinging to the past which the song addresses, the extremes we’ve seen some people go to for external youth is unnerving,” the Bush singer said in a statement. “It is a...

Kevin Costner’s Horizon is finally, well, on the horizon.
On Oct. 5, Warner Bros. put the actor-director’s Western epic (brief teaser trailer below) on its schedule, announcing the first film in the planned four-part project — Horizon: An American Saga Chapter 1 — will arrive in theaters June 28, with the second coming out two months later, on Aug. 16. The third film, currently undated, is expected to start production after the SAG-AFTRA strike is resolved. The decision comes as Costner exits his other Western, Paramount’s Yellowstone, amid some O.K. Corral-level hostilities among him, the studio and showrunner Taylor Sheridan.
The back-to-back Horizon release strategy is bold, and virtually unprecedented, for a major Hollywood title. Warner Bros. sources point to Clint Eastwood’s 2006 World War II films, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Jima, as an example: They were released about two months apart (though, unlike the Horizon movies,...

Salem, Massachusetts brews up more Halloween activities than you can shake a broom at each October, so it was logical for Salem Horror Fest to take place during the spookiest month of the year. For its sixth installment, however, the festivities have moved to the spring, making it much easier to attend without throngs of tourists.
If last night’s opening night ceremony — headlined by a screening of Candyman with Tony Todd in attendance — is any indication, horror lovers will show up any time of the year. Held at the Peabody Essex Museum, the event kicked off with poignagnt opening remarks by festival director Kay Lynch. She briefly outlined the evolution of Salem Horror, which was born out of her desire for catharsis after the 2016 election.
With folk horror being a common theme among some of this year’s programming, Kier-La Janisse was enlisted to deliver a keynote address. Much like how her essential documentary,...

"My best friend. Her name is Francia. She said, 'No, I am absolutely getting tested,'" Gomez said in the episode. "And within three days, she went to get tested, and she was a match. And it was one of those moments where I felt watched over. I know I was so so so lucky."
An emotional Gomez continued, "I will never ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia. The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming. I know I was so,...

I’d imagine that a few people out there are rethinking their HBO Max subscription. Warner Bros. Discovery has been aggressively removing titles from the HBO Max streaming service in the last few weeks. The latest casualty includes Raised by Wolves, Ridley Scott’s ambiguous sci-fi series that was cancelled by HBO Max earlier this year after two seasons.
In addition to Raised by Wolves, other titles being removed from HBO Max include The Time Traveler’s Wife and Head of the Class, as well as reality shows FBoy Island, Legendary, and Finding Magic Mike. It was revealed several days ago that Westworld and The Nevers would also be removed from HBO Max. This seems to be yet another cost-cutting measure from Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. Once these shows are taken off the streaming platform, they’ll be put together in a package that will be licensed to Fast (free ad-supported television) channels.

In terms of crime movies, the biggest name of the last decade in Japan is no other than Kazuya Shiraishi, with films like “The Devil’s Path”, and the “Wolves” duology highlighting the fact in the most eloquent fashion. As such, it is always a pleasure to watch another title of his in the category, even more so, since this time, it seems to have included elements from “The Silence of the Lambs” and particularly the concept of “When you dance with the devil, the devil doesn’t change. The devil changes you.”

The landscape has changed since season one, when things were handled with swords, clubs, rocks, and fists. The fact that the Trivantians have upped the stakes isn’t hard to figure out, but the idea that Trivante itself could become victimized by one of its own people is amazing, not to mention horrifying. There are so many different moving parts in this story at this moment that one has to wonder if the endgame is going to be as shocking as the upset or if Baba Voss and others are going to wake up and realize how badly they’ve been tricked.

Nobody excels at playing chill dude-bros who can also kill you with their pinkie quite like Jason Momoa. It's an archetype the former "Baywatch" actor has steadily refined so as to better fit his talents over the course of his career, starting with his breakout role on "Stargate: Atlantis" and going on to his time playing Arthur Curry in the DC Extended Universe. With "Fast X," however, Momoa will finally get the chance to portray a full-on villain, as opposed to a giant cinnamon roll who happens to be really good at murder.
Okay, so that's not entirely accurate. If you've ever indulged in the junk food cinema that is director Walter Hill's 2013 action-thriller "Bullet to the Head," then you know Momoa has played something of an antagonist before. One could also point to his role as the werewolf Connor Slaughter — yes, that's his real name, and it is...

But what about the movies that go to the opposite...

In terms of crime movies, the biggest name of the last decade in Japan is no other than Kazuya Shiraishi, with films like “The Devil’s Path”, and the “Wolves” duology highlighting the fact in the most eloquent fashion. The devil changes you.”

It seems like only yesterday Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer launched. Maybe that’s because the game’s single-player campaign hit storefronts on December 8th, while the multiplayer component was released earlier to a somewhat mixed reception. Ever since then, developer 343 Industries has been working to improve the free-to-play multiplayer portion of the game, and the multiplayer mode’s next major update is nearly available.
Season 2 of Halo Infinite, dubbed “Lone Wolves,” will launch May 3rd at 11 Am Pst. That means that anyone who lives on the East coast can join at 2 Pm, UK gamers can start at 7 Pm, and so on. Once the new season starts, players will experience quite a few new additions and can earn cool rewards. Here’s an expanded look at the current release schedule for those who need it:

Created by Aaron Guzikowski, "Raised by Wolves" is an unsettling science fiction series launched under the directorial eye of Ridley Scott — and with the notorious director of "Alien" involved, some body horror is inevitable.
In "Raised by Wolves," humanity leaves a ravaged Earth behind as warfare boils between the Atheists and the religious Mithraists. When two Atheist-programmed androids incubate and raise human children, their surviving son, and the Mithraic children kidnapped by Mother, divisions and resentments soon rise. Meanwhile, a mysterious and menacing force on Kepler-22B wreaks havoc and makes puppets of androids, Mithraists, Atheists, and agnostics alike.
