Our guest this week, James M. Ward has probably encountered every possible critter in his 40 years plus of role-playing. Ward was one of the players in Gary Gygax's early Greyhawk games as Gygax developed the Dungeons and Dragons game. He has dozens of guidebooks, novels, and role playing games to his credit. Including the popular Forgotten Realms novels, Pool of Radiance, Pools of Darkness, and Pool of Twilight. Jim is a wonderful guest and gave us some great insights into role-playing games as well as the creative process.

Wowie Zowie Citizens indeed. We sit down with the legendary actor Burt Ward about his time on the set of Batman alongside Adam West in the 1960's. But before we chat about that, we talk with Burt about the work that he and his wife do at Gentle Giants Rescue. Burt and Tracy Ward have rescued well over 15, 000 dogs over the years. Their work with large breed dogs like Great Danes, Irish Wolfhounds, Mastiffs and others, also helped them see the need for safe, NON-GMO dog foods. Burt, Tracy and their crew have pioneered the safe, NON-GMO foods for dogs and now cats too. Their dogs are experiencing longer and healthier lives eating their own Gentle Giants dog food. After that we talk about the cultural importance of Batman and how it affected kids and adults alike and how in over 7000 plus appearances, Burt is still told by all the folks he meets about how important this awesome, campy little show was. Face it, without Batman and its success, we dont get Endgame. Thanks Batman and Robin.

But hes also done on camera work, voice loops, and so much more. Not only is Richard a highly talented and skilled actor, but he's a great story teller with a really good sense of humor. From Miss Piggy and Animal in the Muppets, to Deep Six from GI Joe, to Shrapnel from Transformers. to voicing HAL9000 at Universal Studios and even Raphael from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Hal has voiced some of the most iconic characters in the history of animation and cinema. He talks about he became a voice actor, and earned the job of voicing Miss Piggy, and Animal. And the rest as they say was and is history. We talk with Hal about his career in sound, acting and voice acting. He shows us how he created sounds for the Predator in Predator 2 using simple implements around the house. In fact, many of the voices that Hal creates are made with just his natural talents and simple implements to affect and create the voice needed for the character at hand. Hal is a great guy and we had a blast with him. Hopefully you share some laughs with us as well.

ITS OUR 50TH EPISODE. So of course for our 50th episode we wanted to do something special, like get all our questions for the lead story architect of Star Wars High Republic pre approved by LucasFilms. Yeah, those emails might be laminated and hung on the wall. BUT, it also means that we talk with that guy who we had to get approvals to talk with - Daniel Jose Older. Daniel is a New York Times Best Selling Author, and thats BEFORE he started working with Disney and LucasFilms and had to sign more non-disclosure agreements than you can imagine. In this episode we talk with Daniel about his fandom when it comes to Star Wars, and how he got involved with the movies and the franchise. We talk about his writing and what its like to have literally the coolest email inbox EVER.
