40 min: 35 - bla bla bla, 3 - action, 2 titles. Thats that you gave us, HBO?

Warning: Spoilers
I would give it 7, but... They promised, that budget had grown, but i didn't see that - Conner had no fight scenes, Red Hood in captivity with no action, where's assasin Lady Vic? It looks strange. And only 3 minutes of action we have... So, i hope in the next episodes will be more of Titans involvement.

The End is In Sight?!?
Gislef11 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It looks like the Red Hood/Scarecrow storyline is coming to some kind of conclusion. The Titans get a "win " against them,

It is amusing hearing Crane saying that he's been letting the Titans destroy themselves. Setting aside the fact that it was Red Hood who put the bomb on Hawk and destroyed him... did I miss the part where Gar, Conner, or Kory "destroyed themselves"? Or have done anything? It's hard to be that impressive a criminal mastermind when most of your opponents don't bother to do anything against you.

Crane's plan isn't that smart, either, and he's supposed to be a criminal mastermind. So he killed the only guy who could lead Dick to him... by luring Dick into a deathtrap without much guarantee Dick could escape., And Dick would get a good look at Feeg's face. And the man trained by the "World's Greatest Detective" wouldn't put 2 + 2 together and get 4. Duh.

Overall, the Crane/Jason thing isn't doing much for me, because it's still not clear what Jason's motivation is. Other than that he's a sociopath. If he has a hate-on against Batman... well, he (kinda) drove Batman out of Gotham. It's not clear why Jason hates the Titans other than that they're there to thwart him. It wasn't their fault that Deathstroke almost killed Jason. Maybe he's jealous of Dick as the "first" Robin and Bruce showed Dick favoritism, but we haven't seen that, either. All they show in the previouslies is Jason falling backward out of an office building. If whatever feelings Jason has are a big part of his motivation, maybe the production staff should bring them up a little more?

I like Damaris Lewis as Blackfire. She seems more like a Titan than the three Titans that we have. Although Diop, Potter, and Orpin are good. I like the flirtation between Blackfire and Conner, the revelation that Blackfire had a reason for killing her parents. And Gar in general, although after three seasons his martial arts (?) rather than his shapeshifting in fight scenes is weird. Budget, budget, budget, I guess. At least Potter and Lewis appear to be having fun, which is what the Titans are about a lot of time. When the production staff allows them to be fun instead of doing "The Adventures of Dick" part 25 or whatever they're on. At least this episode gave them a little something to do.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. What do you think?

The character development pays off in a brilliant way in this action and character driven episode - there's lots of things to love about 51%
Holt3449 September 2021
"51%" follows the aftermath of the previous episode with Crane enlisting the help of assassin Lady Vic, who has a troubled history with Dick and Barbara and Lady Vic tried to kill Barbara but wasn't unable to. Kory and Gar brought Blackfire back to Wayne Manor and there were a bunch of character development on both sides of the story. The fear drug is also on the street so anyone is able to buy it, the episode ended with an attack on Tim Drake and his family. More attacks followed and the story of this episode follows with Grayson recognizing that Jason still fears him. Dick convinces Barbara to find Crane with the computer Oracle, meanwhile, Kory and Blackfire visit mob boss Valeska Nox, who offers to give up Crane's location. The story moves with a great pace and the writing is actually pretty good, Kate McCarthy did a great job with making sure the dialogue is perfect and feels so natural to the characters.

Great direction from Nick Gomez, there were also some truly amazing cinematography. The whole episode looked fantastic as the show usually does. Honestly, the road that the writers and producers took for Starfire and Blackfire is actually working for me, it's different. I'll need to give actresses some praise here, Anna Diop and Damaris Lewis gave us some of the best performances of their characters. The costumes were top notch, it's one of those things that this show never disappoints with. The visual effects were also great, same about the fight sequences. Savannah Welch was also great in this episode. There were also a lot of character interactions that I liked and the same with character moments. I want more of Gar Logan / Beast Boy though and it seems like they're slowly but surely developing his character. It's more and better than the second season, but still less than he deserves. I really like how he's growing out of his shell and discovering himself and not staying in someone's shadow, it's the right direction for the character.

There's so much that I love about this episode, so much character development and world building from previous episodes that pay off in a brilliant way. "51%" finds room for well written dialogue that's executed perfectly by the cast, the chemistry they share are perfect. There's also action, drama and scenes that made me smile. The third season have been great and I can't wait to see what more they have to bring for the few episodes left.

The script falls down
lahilaastravnar26 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I found this second half of the script a disaster, as if the writers had lost the sense of coherence of the characters' actions: Jason goes against the Joker alone and dies; Hank knows this, but goes against RedWood alone and dies; Dick knows this, but he agrees to meet Redwood alone... men, are you kidding me?

Half of the heroes have signs of depression: Batman, Jason, Kory, Conner, Gar; the other half die or leave.

Superboy with all his powers could solve all problems by himself, no need for other Titans, but he is under employed, and others heros die, one after the other.

Jason change idea about his role in the story half million of times, and the Titans decide to accept all times Jason redemption and trust him. Half of this episode resembles to a bad copy of one of Supernatural, helped by the Italian dubbins actor of Hank, the same of Dean Winchester 😆.

Scarecrow appears depressed too, and after the last episodes, me too.

Kory is supposed to have more than an hundred of years, but she doesn't know how her telepatic connections work, and goes around tring to burn her friends, nobody other.

Blackfire is the killer of her parents, but she is saved by Kory and bringed to live in the Titans HQ, and admitted in the team!

It appears as the authors do not love so much superheros stories.

Absolutely Phenomental
ethaninhk10 September 2021
If not the best episode of Titans ever, then certainly the best of Season 3. Every character beat and scene feels so on-model and it's an absolute delight to watch, particularly the Blackfire/Starfire dynamic being developed.

54% in (the 3-7)
cjonesas31 January 2022
Episode 7: Nothing to write about. All seems fillers and dragging. Lots of talking, average VFX, lame and rare action/fights in regard to respective characters' powers. Only romantic scenes are well-done and felt.

54% in and no credibility in sight, besides, hopefully, the last scene. Expanding new horizons?!

Definitely better than season 1/2
Mike_Hunt_itches9 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I would have given it a 10 but there's still a couple things bothering me with the show:

Red hood getting manipulated and easily controlled by scarecrow doesn't sit right with me. I understand that they're making an adaptation of the story, but you shouldn't sacrifice character traits for a key character like red hood. At least make him believable.

That and Barbra Gordon is pretty annoying all the time. Like every scene she's in.

best episode this season!
parismya12310 April 2022
This episode is definitely my favorite episode of this season. I especially loved the fight scene where they all came together. They all looked amazing in their suits, and I felt like blackfire really fit in! Hopefully they give her a redemption arc because so far she doesn't seem that bad.

Nightwing
godpk13 September 2021
I only watch this show for Nightwing. Everyone is so trash. I expected much more from the other Titans and their arcs are so boring. These high 10/10 reviews are either paid or have extreme low expectations and believe this show is good, LOL.

Also, Red Hood who is my absolute favorite is written soooo bad that it's just character assassination at this point. Btw, Scarecrow created Red Hood in this garbage. Wrap your head around that. Ugh.

good overall
carlos-8528210 April 2022
This episode was actually not that bad as people make it out to be. As a titans fan i'm aware that the writers sometimes lack storyline skills, but the action is always great! They always keep me stuck on the tv which is a good thing.

This season is the best
pauli_gomez12 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the fight scenes, the looks, the interactions between Barbara & Dick. But I gave it an 8 because I did not like the Starfire/Blackfire parts. I like the actresses, her powers, their fighting scenes, and Blackfire suit is the best. But their story? But I did not lik their story, with Blackfire rewritten to be "not so evil" and Starfire killing people, so being "not so good". I understand the show tries to be "mature", but I will like to be able to sort the heroes from the villains.

Also, I did not like the Oracle subplot.

I am wondering what is in the future of the show.

Why such high reviews
vedantsuryavanshi13 September 2021
I don't get all 9/10 & 10/10 reviews. Am I watching something else?

This show has gone down in terms of quality. It's looking like a same CW theme show now.

I'm watching it only for Nightwing.

I don't care about Blackfire or Starfire & that is not beast boy, he's just green hair martial artist.

Whatever Greg Berlanti touches turns to S***
brightonfan6 March 2022
Whatever Greg Berlanti gets his hands on with DC it turns to s***. Yet against another episode of talking, not a lot of action. The best episode has been Hank and Dove, which kept me on the edge of my seat.

Lady Vic voice is irritating and isn't even close to her being a English noble woman.

Berlanti destroyed Batwoman and is now destroying Titans.

When will HBO, Warner Bros tell him enough is enough.

I seriously hope he doesn't want to be part of peacemaker going forward!!

Brenton Thwaites continues to be the best... but that's it
cjc020110 September 2021
This dialogue in this show is horrendous. The actress for Blackfire is trash and this show never seems to go anywhere. Brenton Thwaites and Curran Walters are the only thing salvaging this messy plot. Titans continues to disappoint. One of the most unsatisfying shows to watch.
