I thought that this episode of the Great North did a musical episode in a good way. The songs were pretty catchy, and actually progressed the story in a way. I thought the theme of growing up was handled in a good way, but sometimes, it can be on the nose. Plus the toaster subplot wasn't really needed. But overall, it's a fun musical episode about growing up.

Absolutely miserable start for Season 2

The whole episode is a musical, and very poor one at that. It was hard to follow the plot because of the incessant musical numbers. If this is the new direction of the show, then I'm probably done, which makes me sad because Season 1 was excellent.
That was the best episode I've ever seen earlier!!

Warning: Spoilers
The Great North was an amazing show, but in alternate, many episodes were cool and sometimes, weird, but this episode had beautiful musical songs in different genres. I loved musicals!!! Surely Judy wanted her braces off, but however, the dentist said that he wouldn't remove Judy's braces because it was just an imagination, and that she was exaggerating the whole time.
Central Park is that you?

This episode is just like Central Park. The awful animated musical series that gave me hope of a Bob's Burgers alternative. In which The Great North actually successfully achieved during Season 1. Then the writers drop this huge turd right in the beginning of Season 2. Don't waste your time on this episode.
Some toast for today!

It's a musical episode

I hate musicals. I've always hated musicals. The songs are invariably terrible and it's no different here. This was a slog to get through and I initially turned it off halfway through. I came back to it today and it was just as bad as I remember from the first half. I'm very glad the rest of the season isn't like this otherwise I'd have been done with The Great North.
The only good musical episode of any series was Scrubs, and that worked only because the musical was tied into the plot. Musicals otherwise just don't make sense - why would people just break into song for no reason, whilst accompanied by a full band?
Anyway, awful episode.
