The greatest episode in Television history
garrettkelley-9105926 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Some might say the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones, or Ozymandias from Breaking Bad are the greatest Television episode of all time. I say that it is this. June 25, 2021. The day television changed forever. Five words: Zach stole the Beast Mask. Also the dance battle. They also wrote in Drivers License. Every word of this episode is pure perfection. Every element of acting is perfect. I wish I could give this episode a 1000/10. I'll create 10 different accounts just to rate this episode. The dancing scene is the best scene like this since the acapella battle from pitch perfect 1. Pure PERFECTION. Also Howie as North Highs beast is the greatest plot twist in cinematic history. M. Night Shamalayan could never. NINA?!?!?!

This show has literally created a new genre of television. Really well written show. Better than Glee.

Warning: Spoilers
I writing this because this show is honestly one of the best shows I have ever seen. It is literally so good at balancing a drama genre with a musical genre and a mockumentary genre and a Comedy Genre. It's like each character shows off a different aspect of the show. Some characters are more comedic while some characters are dramatic. Lily is literally the epitome of a Dramatic mean girl. But the thing is that the actress, Olivia Rose Keegan, is able to play her with such a depth that really makes you wonder if there is more to her than just being that unsettling villian. Olivia Rose Keegan this episode was so good at playing the mean girl. This episode really showed that she can be a really convincing villain. Also that musical number with Miss Jenn and Zack was so cool. This whole show is the perfect show for anyone who loves Musical Theatre. I think this show has really created another aesthetic. That aesthetic might be called the Musical Theater aesthetic. If you watch the entire season thru it resembles a musical especially with the middle of the season having a ground breaking dramatic climax mixed with a song.

The characters this season are also more fleshed out than last season. Nini honestly shines a lot more this season than last season with her coming into her own. She isn't just the girl who is boy crazy, she actually cares a lot about pursuing her dreams. With this change in persona, she is a stronger character. Her changing her name to Nina was such genius especially since she only changed her name to Nini because of Ricky. I mean she finally gave herself the self respect she deserves.

I also love how the fact that "The Rose Song" being illegally put in the show was also touched on. I know a lot of people on social media were talking about how it can't be in the show because no altering of the play is allowed. So with this happening, it really shows that the writers are still making the show as grounded as possible even with all the craziness.

This show is not like Glee. It is way better than Glee. It has its own humor, its own flavor, it's own uniqueness. The characters are so well written and the show is extremely memorable. There is nothing like this show and I hope it stays around for a long time. It's also not problematic like Glee was. I have to admit a lot of the scenes in Glee are iconic but also hard to watch because of how offensive a lot of them are.

Warning: Spoilers
The downward trend in season two took a sharp turn for the worse in this appallingly poor episode.

Where season 1 got almost everything right, season 2 just gets everything wrong. The acting is terrible, the songs badly performed and everything is so wooden.

Olivia should run for the hills now before season 3 starts.

Another reviewer mentioned Glee and yes Glee had its ups and down but it was a far far better show in its worse moments than this dismal season 2.
