The writing in the show is so clever.

I love how it also kind of sets up what's gonna be going down on opening night. This kind of thing is what I like about the show. It doesn't just give drama for the sake of drama. There are things that build up over the episodes or episodes that are used to show where the characters are in life that still move the story along. This episode had really good writing. The Seblos love song was sweet. It's nice that Disney is letting LGBT couples get their own storylines. I can't wait until the next episode. I am obsessed with HSMTMTS and this will be a.show that I will know forever as my comfort show during a depressing period of my life.

The writing in this episode was a chefs kiss

Warning: Spoilers
I am so glad that when the writer brought up the chocolates situation again, it was handled in a mature way. There was no fighting or weird bickering. It was handled calmly. The same can go for Carlos and Seb relationship. The relationship hit a bump last episode but this episode really made the relationship shine. That song that Carlos sang to Seb was really sweet. Frankie Rodriguez's voice is beautiful as always. I can't wait for the HSMTMTS Season 2 soundtrack to come out.

I thought I was watching a horror series.

I thought I was watching a horror series because it looked like the production team tried to save the energy by filming everything in very dark environments. Isn't this supposed to be a series about teenagers? Where is the brightness? I almost saw only parts of faces and some lights. I was wondering if you guys shot the series in a dark room so that the film would not get ruined or something? Or probably you want the viewers to focus on the beautiful song, so you simply disabled our visual senses so that our audio senses would kick in and we could experience the song much much better? If that was the reason, I think you do not need it.
