good documentary about the cradle of mankind and civilization
Babylon represents an important milestone in the development of human civilization. This is were writing first appeared, this is were sciences and technologies as astronomy and agriculture find their origins, Many of the archaeological treasures and available information may be seen in two of the greatest museum in Europe - the Louvre in Paris and Pergamon in Berlin. This is where the filmmakers filmed much of the material for this film, using as commentators some of the best researchers in the history of Babylon, who display knowledge and passion on the subject. A young researcher of Iraqi origin takes is through the museums and speaks with her friends and family about the ancient history of the region but also about the recent past and the troubled present, bridging between history and contemporaneity. Overall an interesting and informative documentary recommended for everybody who wants to learn about the history of the area.
