NOT A BIG FAN!
landondowney26 November 2023
I watched this movie with my Grams hoping it would be good, but it ended up being pretty bad, acting pretty bad, and the whole storyline is really weird... We were hoping to like this movie, but we ended up just criticizing it the whole way through! 👎 and the price is a lot for what it is... $20 for what! Three out of 10 don't really recommend way too expensive and overall just not a really good movie! I even was drinking my hot cocoa, and it almost came out of my mouth because of us laughing at it lol not trying to be mean though just giving my honest review! Watch it if you want just me personally I don't recommend it.

Ugh!!
davidmsn-3801431 December 2023
First of all, all the 10 star reviews were obviously posted by the producers of the film, because no one in their right mind would give this film a 10. I am a conservative Christian and I'm certainly aware of cancel culture, but this film falls apart in so many ways. It is poorly written, poorly acted, and the story line is just awful!

Cancel culture is a real thing, and this film does that issue a disservice.

The only thing I found entertaining was that it was 'kind of' snowing on a sunny day in New Mexico. And then it stopped snowing, and then it started snowing again. Also, it seemed like Christmas had already taken place, and then they went back and had it again. Clearly confusing!

Don't waste your $19.99!

It was good, but not memorable
admyers-8746729 November 2023
Maybe comparing it to the greats like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and Home Alone wasn't the best idea. It sets the bar too high for expectations, leading to disappointment. It's interesting to see some familiar faces from past comedies, but ultimately, it just isn't enough to maintain enthusiasm and interest. I'm glad I watched it, but I don't see myself watching it again. It might make for a nice background movie while wrapping presents or decorating the Christmas tree. The acting isn't great, but that really isn't the objective of this movie. It's still a worthy effort at a family-friendly Christmas movie.

Jingle Smells: The bottom of the Christmas movie barrel
Platypuschow30 November 2023
Plot

War vet Nick Gutman is forced to take a job with his dad's quirky garbage men buddies. When tasked to destroy canceled toys before Christmas - Nick takes on the secret identity "Jingle Smells" and becomes a Robin Hood of the Holidays.

Cast

Directed by Daniel Lusko known for politically bias films and documentaries including his "I'm a victim" movie where Christians are are persecuted this stars such barrel scrapers as John Schneider and Eric Roberts, political stooges Sean Hannity and Mike Huckabee and for some reason wrestler Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl, James "Cowboy" Storm and er.... Eric Bischoff.

Verdict

Let it be known I don't like Christmas so unsurprisingly I don't tend to like Christmas movies. There have been exceptions such as Elf (2003) and I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998) but for the most part I find them offensively stupid and cannot fathom why anyone over the age of 6 would find them entertaining.

Lusko tries his hand at comedy and of course gets political every chance he gets, shoving down your throat a vile hatefilled intolerant mean spirited agenda alongside humor as funny as Melissa McCarthy. The theme is "Cancel culture" which let's not kid ourselves is just a term coined by people unhappy about facing the consequences of their actions.

It's not funny, it's not endearing, it's an unpleasant rancid watch and I'm honestly not sure who it's aimed at but I question the mentality of whoever enjoys it.

Rants

When the right accuses the left of putting agendas in movies/tv it's because it features diversity and they don't like that.

When the left accuses the right of putting agendas in movies/tv it's because it's filled with hateful anti-minority rhetoric.

The sides are not the same.

Breakdown Unfunny Politically motivated Embarrassingly poor cast.

Playing the victim for Christmas.
oakwise-6688626 December 2023
I heard about this film from a podcast, and decided to have a watch party with friends. We watched another John Schneider film a few months ago and made it a drinking game every time the actors sounded like a Fox News commentator covering a klan rally and we literally had to stop the game 15 minutes in.

So I'm very glad we decided against doing the same drinking game with this film, because merely watching this movie 'cancels' enough brain cells.

It's not a surprise this sad little pile is just a cheap string of every conservative trope for playing the victim card. But that's just what you get whenever John Schneider makes a move.

Worst film I've ever seen for real
jlewismega1 December 2023
I don't really know what to say except I'm not exaggerating that this is the worst movie I've ever seen and it will haunt me forever. It's a comedy that's filled with humour at the same level as a Saturday morning kids show but then again what do you expect from a movie called Jingle Smells for crying out loud? Half the cast aren't even actors, they're wrestlers and political figures, and the other half are actors so washed up they're happy just to have a pay check and don't even try to put on a decent performance and don't even get me started on the religious and political messages they fog horn every few minutes.

What was that?
golgothadesolace30 November 2023
What can you expect from a movie called Jingle Smells? I mean really? Was it named by a child? The fact it's full of wrestlers as well tells you everything you need to know. And the right wing element is hilariously bad, honestly they may as well have just gone with KKKristmas and been done with it.

I cannot believe a) How bad the film is b) That the film was even made or c) Did I say how bad the film is?

And to the surprise of absolutely nobody the reviews section has loads of 10/10 reviews from profiles with no other activity. The director, the writer and Sean Hannity maybe?

The film is as funny as Hornswoggles career, not.

Sorry To Say . . .
hartgh24 November 2023
Sorry to say, but I REALLY wanted to like this movie, I really did. I am a conservative talk show junkie and an ardent fan of the Sean Hannity shows and was looking forward to the release of this movie and bought it to show my family after Thanksgiving dinner. Before the family (four of us) arrived, I previewed the first few minutes of the movie and liked what I saw so far.

After we finished Thanksgiving dinner I put the movie on. My 38 year old son paid close attention while my wife and daughter kinda chatted paying less attention.

There were a couple laughs, but not many. Before long my son went to the girls and the thee of them chatted while I watched the movie.

The guest hosts on the Wednesday'S Hannity show really, REALLY, hyped the movie having several of the stars of the show on to talk about their experience making the movie. They likened the movie to Nat. Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (which the wife and I watch TWICE every season) and Home Alone (which we also watch every season).

I kept waiting for the movie to "take off." But it just kept plodding along with very little sense of it being a Christmas movie. If it was on TV when you're changing channels and came across it part way through, you'd be hard pressed to know it's a Christmas show. The only clue, most of the time, was Jingle Smells, the main character, wearing a Santa hat.

Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, The Santa Clause, etc., all give you a sense of traditional Christmases, Jingle Smells doesn't.

Since I bought it, own it, I might watch it again and see if there's something I didn't get the first time, but my wife won't watch it with me, SORRY TO SAY!

Something new and nice!!
marmac1015 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Great family movie!

Nice to have something you trust to be clean and no agenda!! Funny story and silly like a Christmas movie should be! It was good, acting and funny riding. It is what it is! It's not supposed to be something award-winning or groundbreaking. It's just a new take on something silly and a modern world Christmas movie. I hope it becomes a movie. You can access on typical streaming outlets or even on cable. It would be fun to have as a annual Christmas movie. Christmas movies are never that wonderful. When a good one comes out it becomes an instant Classic like home alone. But has there been one since home alone? No! So this is one that could just be fun and it's nice to have something that's updated made in the modern era.

Jingle Smells
mstfr2 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and lI will watch Jingle smells with my 11 year old grand daughter next week and I'm very comfortable having her watch this movie. This movie combines "real life" concerns with humor. I haven't laughed so much during a movie in decades. The acting is excellent and so entertaining.

The movie was easy to purchase and having permanent access to the movie on Rumble via Roku is so nice. My TV is an 8 year old RCA (not a smart TV) and Rumble runs beautifully. I have already watched Jingle Smells at least twice and will suggest this movie to friends and family.

Thank you for bringing excellent movies back. I look forward to more!!

Unexpectedly good
phrxvjq8 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I bought and watched this movie with no expectation of it being good or entertaining. I simply bought and watched in support of ACLJ because they do so much good work. This was actually pretty good with a cute story line. My 10 year old enjoyed it as well and has watched it more than once. Good humor for both adults and kids. I could have lived without the girlfriend but she appeared infrequently enough to not be overly bothersome. Thank you ACLJ for a Christmas movie we can enjoy every season! We will be adding this movie to the list of movies we must watch at least once every year at Christmas time.

A new Christmas movie for my holiday rotation!
mwhaught-9863616 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was pleasantly surprised by this film! I was expecting this to be little more than your typical low budget, independent film. What I found was a piece of work that showed heart and values.

While it make anyone forget It's a Wonderful Life or Miracle on 34th Street, it fits its niche well. The cast performed well. John Schneider is always good to see on screen. Brad Stine was a hoot! Victoria Jackson did her over the top comedy as only she can do!

The messaging could be clunky at times. The narrative would have been served with a little faster pace. But I enjoyed it a lot! How could you not like a film where the kids get a Christmas against the odds? And Santa makes a cameo!!

Great Family Fun
jeffhouse-0235215 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The whole family watched this movie and we all had a wonderful time. The kids really learned a lot and started commenting on the crazy things going on at their schools. That opened good conversations with the kids. This movie really opened their eyes to the truth, and now have them asking why should they accept things that are wrong. This movie is just so refreshing and inspiring, you will want to watch this movie over and over. This is a now an every year movie like Home Alone and Christmas Vacation. It is as good as both of those. About time to have a truthful movie. Can not wait for more movies like this one to be released. Thinking to buy a dozen copies to give to friends. Would love to see this in a movie theater so everyone there could talk to each about how to deal with the nonsense nowadays. We all kept yelling YAH during the movie. It would be great to hear a whole theater cheer the movie at the same time.

A Heartwarming Gem of A Film
mfenstermaker-3774727 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
We just finished watching Jingle Smells and what an amazing storyline! This type of movie is what we've been missing during the holidays (or any time really). I can't stop smiling when I think about the underlying message of hope, faith, family and good old-fashioned Christmas fun! The actors portrayed their characters beautifully with the chemistry between the leads powerful and heartwarming. It is one of those films that families should watch together as there are a lot of incredible life lessons that make for great dinnertime conversation. The connection to our country's military was the cherry on top for me! There is nothing I would have changed!!! PLEASE watch this movie. Well done production team!!!

Great Cast, but lacking movie
TheRealToonamiTom4 December 2023
Love the cast, honestly a bunch of great people coming together to make a fun family movie for the holidays. Sadly, it was for sure missing something and I couldn't pinpoint what.

The movie has a couple of political messages. I watch movies and tv to be entertained and get away from real life stuff, not for politics no mater if I agree with the politics or not.

Always good to see John Schneider. I watched Dukes of Hazzard reruns with my Uncle when I was young and I watched Smallville in my teens. Great actor and from what I can tell from my living room couch, a great guy in real life.

I also want to point out that the young Tyson Jones did great for his first on screen performance.

BRILLIANT!!!!!
skillfulcota23 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN MOVIE!!! The movie interweaved many serious topics that are present and REAL in today's culture and brought them together in a fun, and yet serious, way. I was laughing one minute and seriously aware the next minute. Hollywood needs more real to life movies like this that teach how to make good decisions when faced with life's deception and yet find the humor and love that is present at the same time. Well worth the dollar spent and the time spent to ponder life's realities and also learn how to navigate and find what truly matters. Excellent work Logan Sekulow, Bart Scott and Sean Hannity!!

Truth will set you free!
tinmantiger16 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Cancel culture take that! Watch this good movie, and it wont beat you over the head. Welcome back a good family movie. Applause to Sean Hannity for making this movie happen. John Schneider is a great actor who brings family humor and reality in life to this film even as he has been cancelled. Find a way to watch this!

It's a smelly job but someone has gotta do it. What to do with cancelled toys? This movie will guide you in that with a smile on your face. Great to sit back and talk to family about the life lessons in the movie. Heartwarming film. Breaking away from Hollywood and gives a great message.

Family friendly and funny!
laughingstamper16 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Finally a family movie that makes all ages laugh and shows how the American spirit can overcome and succeed adversity.

John Schneider doesn't disappoint and you have a smile on your face by the end along with some giggles.

A little person actually had the opportunity to play an acting role in the film, instead of Disney, Hollywood and Hugh Grant stealing the role from them. Dylan Postl does a fine job.

There's no room for cancel culture to take root here. Enjoy the movie with the whole family over this Christmas Holiday season without any embarrassment while the kids watch too. Thanks for a family friendly movie!

Funny and clean!
bingcrosby6817 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Finally a Christmas movie that's not another cookie cutter Hallmark sap story!! I just heard about Jingle Smells when John Schneider was on Newsmax this past week. I'd already made plans to locate it and try to watch it once the weekend rolled around. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I love John Schneider and we both agree with his conservative views. I'm also a fan of Sean Hannity and enjoyed hearing Mike Huckabee as the voice of Apostle Polly. The music was a nice bonus.. Enjoyable, songs I recognized and not noisy! I'm glad I purchased it and I'll watch it again! I was able to watch it on my TV without any difficulties.

Fantastic family film!
tkalcicrocky16 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's a joy to find a movie that you can trust to be wholesome and free from any hidden agendas. The storyline is amusing and captures the spirit of a Christmas movie perfectly. The humor is lighthearted, making it an enjoyable watch for the entire family. The film delivers on its promise without aiming to be groundbreaking or win awards; it's simply a fresh and modern take on a silly Christmas story. I'm optimistic that it might become a holiday classic. You can easily access it on popular streaming platforms Rumble. Having it as an annual Christmas tradition would be delightful. In a landscape where truly wonderful Christmas movies are rare, with classics like Home Alone setting the bar high, it's refreshing to welcome a new film that brings a modern touch to the holiday spirit.
