Was shown theatrically around in the States and also released in Melbourne, Australia, by 14th Mandolin distribution company in November, 1978.
It's original title was changed to "THE MAN FROM S.M.U.T." by Melbourne-based film distributor, 14th Mandolin.
This 83 minutes film is now lost. It's last known 35mm film print was deliberately destroyed by torched it by fire inside the 150 Barkly Street warehouse in St. Kilda near Melbourne in August, 1988 which it was owned by 'Club X' Adult Entertainment firm. That warehouse held the massive 35mm and 16mm film collections which was shelved by 'Club X', whose has bought the film prints from 14th Mandolin distributing company in late 1986.
It wasn't originally available for overseas screening until, fortunately enough, a 35mm film print has finally made it's way to Australia as it was released in a small 204-seats cinema in Melbourne by the film distributor, 14th Mandolin, which the original title was changed to "The Man From S.M.U.T.", to shorten the excessively long title to place it in the Melbourne newspaper circulation on the film's release in 16th November, 1978.
This film was censored at one minute and 16 seconds ( 34.8m ), out of original 2304 metres ( 35mm footage ) for 'Indecency' by Australian Film Censorship in September, 1978, before it's release to the 'Club Cinema' in Melbourne.
