Filmed during the first weeks of the Covid-19 pandemic
Filmed in early quarantine where people couldn't meet up or go outside much. So the only cast and crew for the film are the people who appear in the film. Also, the entire film had to be made with only the equipment present in the house at the time the pandemic started. So The equipment used was:
- cannon t3i rebel with broken lens (unable to focus at times) and white balance issues.
- An iPhone 5 and 6
- No audio recorder so an apple I phone voice recorder app was used as described in the movie.
- 2 harsh lights and umbrellas that luckily had been lazily left over from a previous shoot.
- and a 10 year old mac book pro with final cut that was so old it over heated constantly. While editing Nathan would have to save every edit because the laptop would crash 10-12 times a day on average.
In the movie, the family is suffering from the loss of a loved one. Filming this movie to fight the overwhelming depression and sadness being amplified by the quarantine. In real life, Nathan's father (who was playing the villain) died during covid-19 and was only able to film one quick segment in a mirror that (while still used in the film) unfortunately ended up being distorted.
