The airplane shown in the beginning of the episode is an American Airlines Convair CV-990 Coronado. Only 37 Convair CV-990 Coronados were ever built being beat out in sales by the Boeing 707 and Douglas DC-8. The Coronado shown was registered as N5605 and was construction number 30-10-9. It flew for American Airlines from January 1962 to March 1967. It later flew in Air France service for 8 months in 1967, being the only Convair CV-990 to ever fly for Air France.
