  Marjorie : So we agree.

• Bonnie : Are you sure I can't buy you a cup of coffee?

  Shannon : What is it with you people and coffee?

  Bonnie : It's our only drug left, so we abuse it.

• Shannon : [about AA]  I don't belong there, I'm not like the people there. You guys have no idea what real problems are.

  Shannon : Why is that so funny?

  Bonnie : Shannon, trust me, no matter what you're going through, somebody here has either done it, or made it worse.

  Shannon : Did you ever lose your child in a custody battle?

  Bonnie : Please, who needs a custody battle? I lost my daughter. Couldn't find her.

  Shannon : Seriously?

  Bonnie : Yeah, I couldn't find her for two years. But we found each other, we're sober now and we love each other.

• Shannon : Have you ever gone to prison?

  Bonnie : Tammy, you want to feel this one?

  Tammy Diffendorf : Seven years hard time for armed robbery.

  Marjorie : I don't want to brag, but I've also done time in prison.

  Tammy Diffendorf : You did soft time.

  Marjorie : Don't tell me what kind of time I did.

• Shannon : My mom kicked me out because she caught me sleeping with her drug dealer.

  Bonnie : Oh yeah, moms are the worst, mine abandoned me.

  Jill Kendall : Mine killed herself.

  Tammy Diffendorf : Mine was murdered by my dad.

  Wendy : I had two moms, but I had to pretend one of them was my sister.

  Marjorie : I have to sit this one out, my mother was an angel.

  Shannon : Have you ever been homeless?

  Marjorie : Ooh, I'm back in. I lived in a box.

  Bonnie : I lived in my car.

  Jill Kendall : I've never lived in anything less than 12,000 square feet, but I still wound up just drinking alone in my closet. Probably wasn't a good idea to have a bar put in there.
