Fans Bash Gia Giudice Over Expensive Purchase, ‘Get A Job’
Gia Giudice is the eldest daughter of Joe and Teresa Giudice. She grew up in front of Bravo fans on Rhonj and watched both of her parents go to prison. The hardest part was worrying if her father would get deported. She wanted him to fight along with her three sisters. Yet, it became so tough and was very hard on Joe. Eventually, it was over and they said their goodbyes which also signified the end of Teresa and Joe’s marriage. Teresa has since moved...

Before she solved murders at the Arconia alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in Only Murders in the Building, Selena Gomez made magic happen for Disney as a part of Wizards of Waverly Place. The enchanting teen sitcom cast a spell on Mouseketeers for four seasons from 2007 to 2012, and now, toil and trouble are brewing again with a Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series under the working title Wizards.
Original stars Selena Gomez (Alex Russo) and David Henrie (Justin Russo) will take their wands out of storage to executive produce the revival project. At the same time, Gomez plans to appear in a guest role, with Henrie returning as a primary cast member for the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel series. The duo plans to launch Wizards on Disney Channel and Disney+ later this year. The project comes from Disney Branded Television.

You can never step in the same river twice. And, unless you are blessed with an infinite amount of patience, time, and mortality, you can never see the same version of the Sundance documentary Eno twice.
This is by design. Brian Eno — former Roxy Music member, legendary recording producer, Berlin-era Bowie bestie, ambient music pioneer, and a man who rocked a Seventies kimono like no other — is not someone who likes dwelling on the past or being pinned down. Los Angeles, June 26 (Ians) Hollywood star Tom Holland has been open about how difficult it was to film ‘The Crowded Room’ and how it affected his mental health.
Following the premiere of the Apple TV+ production, the reviews have not been too kind to the series with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 31 per cent at the moment, something that Holland acknowledges, reports ‘Deadline’.
“It’s no secret that my show ‘The Crowded Room’ has been horribly reviewed,” the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ star said during an interview with Unilad’s Get a Job!
Holland joked that his “resilience” to the criticism stems from being a fan of the Tottenham soccer club as they “have never won anything” and added, “Supporting them is incredibly difficult.”
“I’m here today to promote the show,” he continued. “I’m still here. I’m very resilient. It’s a good quality in a new employee.

Whoopi Goldberg has finally addressed something that has puzzled fans for a long time.
On Monday’s episode of “The View”, the host spoke about a recent celebrity trend of removing their eyebrows. Stars like Kendall Jenner, who bleached her eyebrows for the Met gala, and Doja Cat, who removed her eyebrows entirely, have joined in on the trend.

But the host of “The View” was already a trailblazer of the no-eyebrow look from a young age.
“I had eyebrows as a little kid and you know how men get those bumps? I started to get them on my face so my mother removed them,” Whoopi explained.
She just kept “doing it because I don’t know my face with eyebrows unless I’m working — they put them on and take them off.

The cast of new Prime Video series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” can count on knowing that Sam and Frodo have their backs.
As the new show is being hit with racist backlash due to the diversity of the cast, several stars of the original “Lord of the Rings” trilogy are throwing their support behind the actors, including Elijah Wood (Frodo), Sean Astin (Sam), Dominic Monaghan (Merry) and Billy Boyd (Pippin), who took to social media to share their support.
“You Are All Welcome Here,” wrote Wood in the caption of a photo he shared on Twitter, in which he’s accompanied by Monaghan and Boyd.

When Miles Teller was brought on to lead “The Offer,” he knew it was a big responsibility – and not just because the Paramount+ limited series focuses on the backstage machinations that led to the creation of “The Godfather.” As real-life Oscar-winning producer Al Ruddy, Teller appears in almost every scene of the sprawling 10-episode series, which shot over nearly seven months during the coronavirus pandemic.
Teller “worked really hard,” his co-star Juno Temple previously told Gold Derby. The show, she said, is ultimately about how Ruddy fought for “things to be how you know they need to be” and how that “really does pay off.”
“Miles is somebody that believes that through and through,” she said.

When it released Wonder Woman 1984 to its HBO Max servers in December, WarnerMedia made it abundantly clear that it was ready for a new era of movie distribution. Now, in its list of new releases for February 2021, Warner is attempting another grand experiment for HBO Max.
Judas and the Black Messiah premieres on HBO Max this Feb. 12 and is by every indication the kind of film that awards shows go gaga over. Both Daniel Kaluuya and and Lakeith Stanfield look to be at the top of their respective games in this story about Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton and the FBI that wants to take him down. Will this have the same rhetorical oomph on the small screen? Guess we’ll find out!

Kim Zolciak Biermann’s 20-year-old daughter, Brielle, recently opened up to Et about wanting to get engaged to her longtime boyfriend, 21-year-old professional baseball player Michael Kopech. Now, Kim is saying she approves.
“I really do like Michael a lot,” Kim tells Et. “I think he's a very well-rounded young man. To be so young, so focused, so driven. His family's great. I wouldn't have a problem with it, honestly.”
“They have my blessing,” she adds. “I think she's young. I do think she's young. But back in the day, you know, what, 25, 30 years ago, you know, getting married at 18, 19, 20 was [the norm].”
Brielle admits she would like to live on her own, though, before she gets even more serious with Michael. She still lives at home with her family in Atlanta.

Another terrific lineup of midnight movies for the ‘Reel Late at The Tivoli’ to end the 2017 season. It’s a typically good variety of titles that should draw the late night movie buff crowd with a couple of retro surprises. The Midnight Movie experience has always catered to a college-age crowd and that’s the way it should be. Rocky Horror Picture Show with live shadow cast with the Samurai Electricians ends the new schedule on Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 27-28 . The oldest film this time is Poltergeist from 1980 and the most recent is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World from 2010. There’s a Miyazaki (Princess Mononoke) thrown in there for attendance insurance (theses always pack ‘em in) and a handful of standards including The Matrix. The only remotely unpredictable thing about “Carrie Pilby,” a bland romantic drama that wastes and waters down the abundant charisma of its young star (“Diary of a Teenage Girl” breakout Bel Powley), is that it suffers from the exact same problem that turned last week’s “Power Rangers” into such a lifeless bore: By trying to provide a little something for everyone, it ultimately offers precious little to anyone. From low-budget stories of sex in the city to blockbuster reboots about teens who overcome their sexting scandals by fighting giant alien monsters made of liquid gold, it seems that even the most outwardly dissimilar of movies are united by their shared compulsion to sacrifice insight at the altar of accessibility (union agreements come and go, but mediocrity is forever).

Glow, Netflix’s television showcase of the 1980’s women’s pro wrestling company, has nabbed Alison Brie as its star...
Netflix’s upcoming television series foray focused on the late-1980s zaniness of the women’s wrestling organization Glow (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) already seemed to be an intriguing, historically based bonanza of erratic idiosyncrasies. However, the television project just received a fortunate boost with the naming of its star in Alison Brie!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alison Brie has jumped onboard the 10-episode, Jenji Kohan-developed Glow Netflix series to play the show’s main character Ruth, an out-of-work actress in Los Angeles. Consequently, Ruth will embark on an indirect, physically demanding path to fame with plans to become a star in the world of women’s wrestling in the G.L.O.W. organization (which operated from 1986-1992). While the “wrestling” typically showcased crazy characters and skits...

Alison Brie has joined the ranks of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling now that the Community alum has agreed terms to headline Netflix’s all-new wrestling series, G.L.O.W.
Word comes by way of Deadline, confirming that Brie will headline the 10-episode comedy as an “out-of-work actress who finds one last attempt to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers.” Ordered straight to series earlier in the year, G.L.O.W. has a trump card in executive producer Jenji Kohan – best known for hatching Netflix favorite Orange Is the New Black – and Kohan will no doubt be hoping for lightning to strike twice for his female-led dramas.
Enlisting Alison Brie as the de facto lead is certainly a good place to start. Aside from her comedic breakout as Annie Edison on NBC’s Community, the actress also held a role on Mad Men along with the Amazon original series,...

The late August weekends prior to Labor Day can offer opportunities for box office breakthroughs because the studios historically save these dog days for their weakest entries. Three years ago Weinstein took “The Butler” to $116 million domestic after a robust $24.6 million opening. None of this weekend’s three new wide releases will reach that level.
“Ben-Hur” (Paramount), “Kubo and the Two Strings” (Focus) and “War Dogs” (Warner Bros.) as well as three holdovers should all score more than $10-million for the weekend. That would set a record for the last half of August, and so would any Top Ten total above $114 million (unadjusted at least). This weekend in 2015 scored only $85 million.
Two pictures are contesting for different contests weekend bests. One will ends up at #1, in a close race between the third weekend of Warner Bros.’/ D.C. Comics’ fast-falling “Suicide Club” and Sony’s sleeper animated success “Sausage Party.

Actor Bryan Cranston keeps a busy schedule these days. He’s already appeared in two films so far this year, “Kung Fu Panda 3” and “Get a Job,” and he’s set to co-star in four more this year. But come next year, Cranston will appear in the new “Power Rangers” reboot as Zordon, the all-powerful mentor for the Power Rangers. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Cranston described his initial reticence to take on the role, because the TV series was “kind of farcical and silly and ‘pow’ and ‘zow’ — weird movements and things like that,” but he changed his mind when he read the script.

Every week we dive into the cream of the crop when it comes to home releases, including Blu-ray and DVDs, as well as recommended deals of the week. Check out our rundown below and return every Tuesday for the best (or most interesting) films one can take home. Note that if you’re looking to support the site, every purchase you make through the links below helps us and is greatly appreciated.
10 Cloverfield Lane (Dan Trachtenberg)
Forget the Cloverfield connection. The actors who were in this film didn’t even know what the title was until moments before the first trailer dropped. Producer J.J. Abrams used that branding as part of the wrapping for its promotional mystery box, but the movie stands perfectly alone from 2008’s found-footage monster picture. Hell, 10 Cloverfield Lane perhaps doesn’t even take place within the same fictional universe as that film — although a friend asked if it’s secretly a Super 8 sequel, and, honestly, you could think of it as one without contradicting anything in either movie. Whether the Cloverfield name fills you with wariness or enthusiasm, it would be unwise to burden Dan Trachtenberg‘s film with such prejudices. – Dan S. (full review)
45 Years (Andrew Haigh)
Andrew Haigh’s third feature as a director, 45 Years, is an excellent companion piece to its 2011 predecessor, Weekend. The latter examined the inception of a potential relationship between two men over the course of a weekend, whereas its successor considers the opposite extreme. Again sticking to a tight timeframe, the film chronicles the six days leading up to a couple’s 45th wedding anniversary. Though highly accomplished, Weekend nevertheless suffered from a tendency towards commenting on itself as a gay issues film, which at times overrode the otherwise compelling realism. Despite treating material arguably even more underrepresented in cinema – senior relationships – Haigh avoids this same self-reflexive pitfall in 45 Years, pulling off an incisive and emotionally ensnaring tour de force. – Giovanni M.C. (full review)
Here Comes Mr. Jordan (Alexander Hall)
A sophisticated supernatural Hollywood comedy whose influence continues to be felt, Here Comes Mr. Jordan stars the eminently versatile Robert Montgomery as a working-class boxer and amateur aviator whose plane crashes in a freak accident. He finds himself in heaven but is told, by a wry angel named Mr. Jordan (Claude Rains), that his death was a clerical error, and that he can return to Earth by entering the body of a corrupt (and about-to-be-murdered) financier—whose soul could use a transplant. Nominated for seven Oscars (it won two) and the inspiration for a sequel with Rita Hayworth and two remakes, Alexander Hall’s effervescent Here Comes Mr. Jordan is comic perfection. – Criterion.com
La Chienne (Jean Renoir)
Jean Renoir’s ruthless love triangle tale, his second sound film, is a true precursor to his brilliantly bitter The Rules of the Game, displaying all of the filmmaker’s visual genius and fully imbued with his profound humanity. Michel Simon cuts a tragic figure as an unhappily married cashier and amateur painter who becomes so smitten with a prostitute that he refuses to see the obvious: that she and her pimp boyfriend are taking advantage of him. Renoir’s elegant compositions and camera movements carry this twisting narrative—a stinging commentary on class and sexual divisions—to an unforgettably ironic conclusion. – Criterion.com

Welcome to week three of VOD Vault, where we take a look at another bunch of direct-to-market releases, many of which hit iTunes and the supermarket shelves without fanfare, walking you – our readers – down the fine line between spending your money wisely, or throwing it away on another slice of Dtv dross. Up this week are two films on the opposite end of the cinematic spectrum: Get a Job, a long-delayed rom-com starring Anna Kendrick and Miles Teller; and claustrophobic horror Blood Rush.
Get A Job
Stars: Anna Kendrick, Alison Brie, Miles Teller, Bryan Cranston, Cameron Richardson, Greg Germann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Marcia Gay Harden, Nicholas Braun, John C. McGinley, Jorge Garcia, John Cho, Bruce Davidson | Directed by Dylan Kidd
Life after college graduation is not exactly going as planned for Will (Teller) and Jillian (Kendrick) who find themselves lost in a sea of increasingly strange jobs, perpetual unemployment and adulthood angst.

Much like I said around this time last year…time flies. Believe it or not, we’re now three full months into the 2016 movie calendar, which means we’re literally a quarter of the way through the film slate for the year. That got me thinking about what the best of the bunch so far this year has been. Since now is the time when the film slate begins to transition into summer releases and counter programming independent fare ramps up, I thought it was the perfect time to praise the best of 2016 so far. Basically, anything that hit screens between January 1st and March 31st will be up for grabs here for my personal honors. Here goes nothing! Before I get to the lists, which will include my top performances of the first quarter and personal awards as well, let me just say that it’s been a pretty...

Directed by Dylan Kidd, Get A Job stars Miles Teller as Will, the Millennial From Hell. Fresh out of college, our hero (?) expects everything to work for him like it always has. When L.A. Weekly tells him the videographer job they promised is no longer available, he throws a temper tantrum and asks his dad (Bryan Cranston, doing his best) for money. Sadly, dad has just lost his job as well.
Determined to skate by on the quality of his YouTube videos, Will tries his hardest to avoid the corporate video sphere. He considers himself better than that. This is an extremely unlikable lead character at the center of a brutally cynical, largely unfunny film fueled by muddled social commentary.
Kidd is a talented filmmaker, responsible for the sharp indie Roger Dodger and the strange, under-seen P.S., but this, his third film, feels like a lost cause. Indeed, it...

A talented cast and star-studded cameos can’t save this by-the-numbers film – bedeviled by canned music and sitcom sequences – about millennial job woes
One can’t ignore the irony around Get A Job’s huffing, last-place cross of the distribution finish line. One of the film’s main characters, played by Bryan Cranston, is a man with top notch qualifications on paper, but still can’t even land an interview with The Decisionmaker to gain employment. Shot in 2012 with a laundry list of talented actors (and a director, Dylan Kidd, who seemed off to a good start in 2002) Get A Job got caught up in corporate shuffles and looked for a while as if it would never be released. Now it limps to the marketplace on VOD and a contractually obligated single theatrical screen in New York. Sometimes merely being qualified isn’t enough.

The regrettable new Dylan Kidd-helmed life-after-college and career prospectus comedy “Get A Job” is such a baffling endeavor the callow movie could conceivably come with its own milk carton campaign asking: “Where is Dylan Kidd and what have you done with him?” More than just “off brand,” the lamentable film — a sitcom-y mash of broad jokes, vulgar asides and juvenile scenarios — is shockingly devoid of the promise of his earlier works. The filmmaker behind the critically acclaimed indies “P.S.” (2004) and “Roger Dodger” (2002), (the latter of which helped launch the career of Jesse Eisenberg) both were sharp, observant and affecting efforts — “P.S.” examining the ache of lost loves, and “Roger Dodger” offering a caustically masculine look at male/female dynamics. Plot: After graduating college, Will (Miles Teller) and his friends are shocked to discover that the financially secure, creatively rewarding careers they imagined themselves getting might be harder to achieve than they thought. Review: For those wondering why a movie starring Miles Teller, Anna Kendrick, Alison Brie and Bryan Cranston is going straight to VOD, here’s a rundown. Get A Job was actually... Read More...

For literally years now, I’d been looking forward to seeing Get a Job, the new (or newish, in this case now) film from Dylan Kidd. Last week, after an incredibly long delay/time spent sitting on the shelf, I finally saw the flick, which will be hitting theaters this Friday. I’m thrilled to report that it’s good stuff too, fully underserving of the fate it had been stuck with up until now. Honestly, even if it were terrible, I still don’t understand why it never was released. Director Dylan Kidd was a promising up and coming indie filmmaker, leading man Miles Teller has become a bigger and bigger star, and the supporting cast has the likes of Allison Brie, Bryan Cranston, and especially Anna Kendrick in it. That sounds more like a big time studio comedy than an ignored indie, right? Throw in how timely a...

What ever happened to director Dylan Kidd? His promising career had a terrific one-two punch in the early aughts: 2001’s blistering two-hander “Roger Dodger,” which gave us an early excellent early performance from Jesse Eisenberg, and the filmmaker followed it with 2004’s quasi-mystical mystery romance film “Ps.” But it’s been twelve long years since Kidd made a film. Sort of. The indie filmmaker shot “Get A Job” with Miles Teller, Anna Kendrick, and Alison Brie, among others, back in 2012. But where has it been? Good question. For reasons unknown, “Get A Job” has languished somewhere, or in the editing room, who knows, for nearly four years. But now, it’s finally coming out. Get a Job hits on March 25th, and Lionsgate has released some new images. They don’t exactly offer a lot of surprises that the trailer (see below) hid, but we do get a nice group selfie shot… and learn that Miles Teller‘s character works in some manner of booth.
The premise of the film is, eventually, an interesting one, but you have to guess that the film doesn’t take as long to get there as the trailer suggests.
While the post-graduation angst film isn’t entirely new, and is in fact possibly overworked as practically a mantra of the new generation, the role reversal angle and relationship focal point should make this one interesting. It certainly has a cast that you expect good things from. Well, some of the cast anyway.

Production setbacks on recession drama Get a Job coupled with the recently-released maiden trailer for Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates has meant that movie fans have stumbled on a double helping of trailers featuring Anna Kendrick in the past week or so, and Focus Features has made it three for three by debuting our first look at the actress’ hitman comedy, Mr. Right.
Starring opposite Sam Rockwell for the light-hearted feature, the Pitch Perfect star plays Martha, a young woman out of luck and out of love who begins to question whether she’ll ever cross paths with Mr Right. Low and behold, Rockwell’s smooth-talking assassin walks into her life, but after bumping off a nameless hitman on their first date, his character of Francis is left dealing with a bounty on his head, effectively drawing in Kendrick’s hopeless romantic in the process.

"I'm 22 years old and I have no idea what I'm going to do with the rest of my life! And I'm fine with that." CBS Films has debuted the theatrical trailer for the comedy Get a Job, starring Miles Teller and Anna Kendrick as a couple struggling with life after college. Right as one of them might finally have snagged a good job, the other one gets fired, and it makes for good humor and good lessons to be learned. The full cast includes some other big names like Bryan Cranston, Marcia Gay Harden, Alison Brie, Ravi Patel, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jorge Garcia, John C. McGinley and John Cho. Not the best looking comedy out there, but it does have good laughs. I'm always glad to see Anna Kendrick in a lead role, too. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Dylan Kidd's Get a Job, direct from Lionsgate's YouTube: Life...

Emilia Clarke broke out big time during the first season of HBO's Game of Thrones and has remained a fan favorite. As Daenerys Targaryen, she began as a fairly timid young woman who quickly blossomed into a mighty leader. She demonstrated her action chops in last summer's Terminator: Genisys, taking on the iconic role of Sarah Connor and more than holding her own opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. But how will she do as the star of a beguiling romance? The first trailer for Me Before You reveals that Clarke shines as a young caregiver who falls for a recently disabled man (Sam Claflin). Jenna Coleman and Charles Dance also star; the movie will open in theaters on June 3. The first trailer for Get a Job feels surprisingly nostalgic. Produced in 2012 but only now...

How's this for a funny story: a film about Millennials and their struggles with the job market, starring Miles Teller and Anna Kendrick, has been sitting on the shelves for almost four years!
