Manila Bulletin reported Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid was surprised upon learning that the rights to his classic song with Aaron Paul Del Rosario, "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang" was bought by Bigfoot Entertainment.
During a recent press visit at the Bigfoot IT & Media Park, which served as venue for the Visayas auditions of the ongoing first Philippine Idol, authorities of the company showed the media a "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang" music video interpreted by foreign artists. The song is audibly transformed into a dance ditty with English adaptations of its Tagalog lyrics. Matt Lubetich asked how come Ogie was clueless about the deal.
The Bulletin tried to reach Ogie's manager Leo Dominguez for comment but the latter cannot be reached. Ogie, on the other hand, maintained his position that he still needs to clarify the matter to authorities.
