We can't wait to see Garrett Hedlund flinging 3D neon frisbees around in Tron Legacy. But we're not shallow, we like him for his brains too. So we sat down to talk On The Road, the long-awaited adaptation of Jack Kerouac's hipster classic stream of consciousness fauxbiography. And it appears to be a project Hedlund's passionate about. He told Total Film: "On The Road is extremely special to me, because when I first read it at 16 0r 17, I looked it up online and it said Francis Ford Coppola was producing it or directing it. "Breaking Dawn" is gearing up for production right now, but its leading lady Kristen Stewart is involved in another literary adaptation that's getting its own share of buzz. During her off time from "Twilight," Stewart filmed a big screen version of Jack Kerouac's Beat Generation classic "On The Road," helmed by "The Motorcycle Diaries" director Walter Salles.
While promoting her latest indie, "Welcome to the Rileys," Stewart told MTV that throughout the filming of "On The Road" she never was able to shake her nervousness at adapting such a well-regarded book. "I would turn around in the car like every single day and show Walter my hand and it would be like [shaking] and he'd be like, 'Good, that it is how I want you to be'," she said. "No, [the nerves] never went away."
The film, which also stars Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Sam Riley and "Tron: Legacy"'s Garrett Hedlund,...

We know Kristen Stewart was acting long before being cast in the Twilight series, but we’re getting a little tired of her constant complaining about the role that gave her the big break she was waiting for!
Twi-hards are already flocking to Louisiana in hopes of catching a glimpse of their favorite vampires and werewolves as they descend on Baton Rouge to begin filming of Breaking Dawn. Fans can’t wait for filming to be complete, but the one person looking forward to the movie’s completion the most is star, 20-year-old Kristen Stewart.
After all the attention she’s received for being Bella Swan, the object of affection to 24-year-old Robert Pattinson’s character Edward Cullen, she’s continued to complain time after time about playing the same character over and over. She even opened up to Welcome to the Riley’s director Jake Scott about her frustration.

Omg! Kristen Stewart cut her hair and colored it red!
Brace yourselves Twi-hards, your beloved Kristen Stewart had dyed her beautiful, Bella Swan hair a fiery red! Not only did she arrive to tape the Late Show with David Letterman on June 28 in NYC with brand new red locks, she also is sporting a drastic new hair cut! After finally having grown out her Joan Jett mullet, Kristen is rocking a chin-length cropped cut!
Kristen had warned us that she’d be changing her hair at the Eclipse convention in La June 12 when she said she would dye her brunette locks a “dirty/strawberry blond” to play MaryLou, the wife of drifter Dean Moriarity in the big screen adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s 1957 novel, On The Road. With filming scheduled to begin in the next couple of weeks, it looks like Kristen’s hard at work getting into character for her role.

The first production from recently formed "Kerouac Films" is a documentary on the Kerouac's retreat from society and the writing of his novel Big Sur. This same production company also has feature versions of both Big Sur and Dharma Bums in development, and this is along with news that UA is backing an adaptation of On the Road while MGM is supposedly backing The Subterraneans. Jeez, let's hope they don't kill the legend. Apparently this doc has been playing a few fests since last year but I can't find a dvd release on the horizon. There is, however, an audio cd release coming up of the readings.
