- MANVEE is a story of the struggle of an educated third gender who is a successful clinical psychologist by profession.
- Manvee is an established clinical psychologist. Patients have faith on her. Oh! Sorry... is the word 'her' appropriate for Manvee? Probably the answer is no. What about the word 'him'? Again, the answer is no. Manvee is a third gender and for them no separate words are made till date.
She is alone. Though the society do not refuse her because of her gender but never accepts her as someone who can be a member of our family. Her own society, so called the third genders society also cannot match her because she is different in terms of thoughts, education and culture.
Only the aged third gender, who made Manvee capable to struggle in this world as a human being, loves her a lot. And the old man, who do not have anybody behind him, not a single relative too... somehow finds his dead child inside her.
And the mad woman... and her madness... and her attitude towards life do have some meaning for Manvee's life. May be, Manvee finds her soul inside that mad woman. Somehow, she finds the mad woman everywhere she finds positive. Somehow that mad woman makes Manvee a woman by soul.
But the depression she is suffering from... the society, the loneliness and at last but not the least, the physical inability makes her depressed. She knows how to treat a patient of acute depression but she cannot treat herself.
The film moves with her depression and ends at a point where Manvee becomes able to get rid of her physiological problems.
Silence always talks a lot more than words and in this film an experiment has been made to use less dialogues and more silence to express the thoughts that we never thought to think about.
