A good majority of the episode takes place on Mars, in space, or with the NASA/Helios engineers, which is an immediate improvement over much of this season. When the series stays focused on its premise, ie space, the relationship aspect is drastically more palatable. It's considerably less "soapy", the drama is less forced and everything is improved.
However, Danny continues to be absolutely insufferable, as does Ed really, not sure how much more Danny I can honestly take at this point. Karen pitches in on that disaster of a plotline back on Earth, the sooner it comes to some sort of conclusion the better, it's mind-numbing. Maybe should've just left the HAB buried on Mars, the series would probably have been the better for it.
Decent episode, though I think the conclusion was a bit....weak. Eitherway this week was a vast improvement over the last couple. Hopefully the momentum continues on to the the finale.
