The term "pedophile" is normally used as a broad term for an adult who is sexually attracted to minors. The technical definition of a pedophile is an adult who is only attracted to children who have not yet started puberty, so children in Tanner stage 1 of sexual development, which is usually children under the age of 10. Ephebophile is the term for an adult who has a primary sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, teenagers in Tanner stage 4 of sexual development, generally ages 15 to 19.
Kevin O'Donnell (Garret Dillahunt) says "Up until 1967, it was illegal for a white person and black person to marry". In 1960, interracial marriage was forbidden by law in 31 US states. It became legal throughout the United States in 1967, following the decision of the Supreme Court in the case Loving v. Virginia, which ruled that race-based restrictions on marriages, violated the Equal Protection Clause (adopted in 1868) of the United States Constitution.
