Even better than the last episode...

After really solid last episode we get another great story full of action, character moments and drama. Cad Bane is continuing to impress as a villain that is inteligent, skillful, original and really interesting.

Cargo of Doom

It may just be me, but I found Cad Bane to be a little bit too careless in this episode. Yeah, he ultimately plays the Jedi, but a few of his decisions were rash and didn't seem like decisions he would have made an episode earlier. That said, I still think he is one of the best original antagonists the show has come up with and I thought the episode was an overall enjoyable experience. There was A LOT of great action, and I'm glad they brought back the cool use of their AT-TEs. The episode was written very well, and had a darker tone than usual, which is good once in a while. Ahsoka and Anakin continue to have great chemistry and I liked the personal stakes that were on the line. It gave much development for the duo and their relationship overall.

Great stories...

But we all have to accept just how crap the Jedi seem to be in tactical situations. Lucky they have all those cannon fodder clones to throw behind them.

Bane of the Jedi

Following on from the excellent first part of this storyline we get this superb episode full of action and dark drama.

Bounty hunter Cad Bane is a brilliant villain and his face offs with Anakin and Ahsoka are brilliant. We get some really dark aspects as a Jedi is captured and tortured by Bane who is a superb villain.

There are brilliant battles and depth of characterisation which just makes the excitement greater. Admiral Yularen's irritation with Anakin's tactics is another added bit of spice along with Anakin's turmoil at what he should do.

The whole episode is well written and well made with a really engrossing story. The dialogue is strong, the action is fantastic, the adventure is very entertaining and all the characters shine.

My rating: 9.5/10.

Cad Bane continues to impress

He seems to outwit the jedis at every turn, and in this case, he plays Anakin and Ahsoka's weaknesses well against each other. Cad Bane is a master chess player, and a truly worthy villain, perhaps the most capable villain that this series had up to this point.

Masterful episode, one of the tops.
