Awful
skaterryan124 October 2021
Boy do I hate when Family Guy does episodes like this. Terribly unfunny and boring. Guess we can expect about 3 more of these kind of episodes this season. Was good back when they started doing these with the Stephen King stories but these past couple of seasons have just been awful with these kind of episodes.

I have to say it again

I love this episode. But I hate the people who say Seth is doing it really bad ohhh Seth is doing terrible. He hasn't worked on the show in about 8 years he only does voices he's on the Orville now.

Wow this was Dull
AnimatedCritic4 October 2021
After last episode, I thought the show would still be somewhat funny, but this episode was just really dull and uninteresting throughout. Not a lot of the jokes landed, but there were a few that made me laugh. The 3 stories with all the singers were all boring and dull, but there were some decent moments.

Overall it was a dull episode that I don't care about.

"Velcro" line is stuck in my mind. Well played.

Family Guy is doing what Family Guy does best: entertain. This episode has elements that poke fun at music moments in history with their own sick & twisted way of making us laugh at uncomfortable things in life. Cheers, FG.

Unwatchable
Reineke864 October 2021
This episode just shows, that this show has become unwatchable. It's almost as bad as The Simpsons now.

Another good episode from this season so far.

I laughed alot at this episode. It's a little bit of an improvement from the previous episode. It was certainly interesting to explore the background knowledge of rock stars from the past.

I appreciate The Doors
jpapanone30 May 2022
Not a huge fan of them...but the handful of songs I know, I eventually came to really dig.

This episode is absolute trash.

This is supposed to be funny or entertaining. It is neither of these.

This is probably why I stopped watching Family Guy 5 years ago.

It was so long ago that I had seen a new episode of FG that I forgot why I had stopped watching it.

Watching episode 1 and 2 of season 20 was a quick reminder why I stopped watching FG...and why there's no reason to give it another shot.

Absolute garbage.

--- Ok... now Muddy Waters. Less than 5 minutes in...more garbage.

And end with Elton John crap.

If you love The Doors, do not watch this episode! The most iconic band and they want to disrespect them!

For a unrealistic interpretation of the Doors and the Charles Manson/ Sharon Tate jab. I yelled out you an expletive.

Entertaining Episode
agnesah5 October 2021
I see many reviews about Family Guy not being as good as it used to be. I felt that way about Season 19, I didn't enjoy it at all. However glad to see that the jokes are starting to come back with the latest season. The first two episodes are funny an entertaining, especially this one. Jokes were really good, storyline is great.

Eh....

Generally, I like the episodes where Family Guy takes another plot or someone's story and makes it its own (I don't expect every episode to be original). However, I don't know anything about the individuals whose lives were being reenacted (it's not my kind of music), so any jokes there may have been flew over my head.

YOU CANNOT PETITION THE LORD WITH PRAYER!

I see some reviewers didn't get the episode; Probably because they know NOTHING of the Doors...This was a great and sarcastic homage to the band...I hope it gets some young people to listen to them...LA Woman is best to start with...

Rock Hard

Warning: Spoilers
Some good references in this episode, but this didn't seem like a necessary episode. Who was clamoring for the story of The Doors? Or a woke take on Elvis?

Thanks for the message you've sent to Charles Manson you idiot!
grahammceneaney3 June 2023
This episode was funny in some ways, but in other ways it's not. Because that stupid Peter gave Charles Manson the message by telling him to kill Sharon Tate for no reason. I honestly don't think it's funny at all, because we all know that the Tate murders was horrible. If Sharon Tate's sister by the way saw this episode, she would be righteously angry. And possibly sue Seth MacFarlane. I'm quite offended and hurt about this. Sharon Tate doesn't deserve to die. Come to think of it, I don't like he's sense of humor. I think Seth MacFarlane has gone too far. He should stop making fun of history as well as real life people.
