“There are only two kinds of guys out in the street chasing bad guys at your age — ones who got passed over for ‘the big chair,’ and the ones who just love it so much they’re gonna have to be dragged off. Only question is will they be breathing when it happens.”
That observation-slash-threat comes courtesy of Raylan Givens’ latest formidable foe, Clement Mansell aka “The Oklahoma Wildman,” in the FX limited series Justified: City Primeval. But it also speaks to the fact that the steely-eyed U.S. Marshal indeed cannot seem to stop doing that thing he does so well.

Heather Olander knew she would be taking on a challenge when she joined The CW as its first Head of Unscripted Programming.

The CW on Tuesday went public with its Summer 2023 schedule, and it's as acquisition-heavy as expected.
Family Law Season 2 is kicking things off on Friday, July 7, leading into the series premiere of Moonshine.
Family Law had a decent audience on the network last year, so bringing it back was a no-brainer.
Monday will be reserved for the acquired comedy series, with Son of a Critch, Children Ruin Everything, Run the Burbs, and Bump airing on the night.
In anticipation of FBoy Island's premiere on the network with originals in the fall, The CW will air episodes of Fboy Island Season 2.
As previously reported, The CW has also ordered FGirl Island.
All things considered, the schedule is a bit uneventful, and that's the tricky part of having few original series.
The CW's actual test will be how viewers warm to the network's new strategy.

The CW has been busy north of the border.
The network has picked up The Spencer Sisters, a Canadian drama starring Caroline in the City star Lea Thompson and Superman & Lois’ Stacey Farber, for its fall lineup.
It is the latest Canadian series that it has acquired, this time from eOne, as the Nexstar-owned company’s scripted strategy becomes a little clearer.
The Spencer Sisters, which aired its first 10-part earlier this year on CTV (see trailer below), follows a mother and daughter duo who team up to start a private detective agency. It pairs mystery novelist Victoria Spencer (Thompson) and her daughter Darby Spencer (Farber) who are mistaken as sisters as they tackle puzzling cases.

Growing up in the 80s it was a special time for kids who loved cars. Series like Magnum Pi, Knight Rider, and The A-Team all had an iconic vehicle that was a centerpiece of the series and epitomized the spirit of the show. But perhaps none was as iconic and memorable as the car at the heart of this episode, The General Lee.
The orange painted muscle car was the chariot of Bo and Luke, the two modern day Robin Hoods Aka The Duke Boys. In this episode of Gone But Not Forgotten we’re going climb through the window and get behind the wheel of The General as we revisit The Dukes of Hazzard.

A representative for Daniel Radcliffe confirmed that the actor and his and longtime girlfriend Erin Darke have welcomed their first child a month after the news broke that the couple was expecting.
The actors met on the set of 2013 film Kill Your Darlings, in which the Harry Potter star plays famed poet Allen Ginsberg, while Darke portrays a woman he has a sexual encounter with in a library. The couple also starred alongside each other in Miracle Workers.
The actor most recently took on the role of “Weird Al” Yankovic in Roku’s biopic parody of the artist’s life, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Darke had a recurring role on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and currently stars in Prime Video’s Moonshine.
Radcliffe and Darke have kept their relationship mostly out of the public eye, only appearing on red carpets together from time to time.

Jason Eisener Is Back!
The filmmaker behind cult classics “Treevenge” and Hobo with a Shotgun, not to mention Vice TV’s hit “Dark Side of the Ring”, has turned his V/H/S/2 segment into the full-blown traditional feature Kids vs. Aliens, on DVD and Blu-ray on April 18, 2023.
We have (3) copies of the Blu-ray for some lucky readers to enter and win. All you have to do is fill out the below form and we’ll choose three winners are random. No Po Boxes and U.S. entries only, please.
Kids vs. Aliens, which delivers all of the charm, fun, and chaos of a Jason Eisener film, is the latest collaboration between Bloody Disgusting, Cinepocalypse, and Studio71, who jointly produced V/H/S/94 and V/H/S/99.
In Kids vs. Aliens, all Gary wants is to make awesome home movies with his best buds. All his older sister Samantha wants is to hang with the cool kids.

It is my experience that one gets a far richer, stranger cinema education in pursuing the careers of actors, that group defined first by (assuming luck shines upon them) two or three era-defining films and then so much that dictates their industry—pet projects, contractual obligations, called-in favors alimony payments, auteur one-offs, and on and on. Few embody that deluge of circumstance better than Michelle Yeoh and Isabelle Huppert, both of whom are receiving spotlights in March. The former’s is a who’s-who of Hong Kong talent, new favorites (The Heroic Trio), items we can at least say are of interest (Trio‘s not-great sequel Executioners), etc.
Huppert’s series runs longer, and notwithstanding certain standards that have long sat on the channel it adds some heavy hitters: Hong’s In Another Country, Cimino’s Heaven’s Gate, Breillat’s Abuse of Weakness, Hansen-Løve’s Things to Come. And, of course,...

The Canadian Screen Awards has unveiled nominations for the national film and TV prize-giving, and the CBC civil rights drama The Porter leads the film and TV field with 19 mentions in all, including for best small-screen drama.
The first Canadian drama series from an all-Black creative team, which also streams on BET+, centers on the lives of Black train porters and their families as they launch North America’s first Black labor union in the 1920s.
The TV categories, voted on by around 3,000 Canadian industry insiders, also sees the CBC series Detention Adventure and Sort Of – a Peabody award-winning show about a gender fluid young Muslim in Toronto played by Bilal Baig — nab 15 nominations each in an awards show shaping up to be a major showcase for people of color.
That follows Canadian film, and TV industry efforts to ensure diversity and inclusivity in the country’s indie production sector and prize-giving process.

Dying Light 2‘s massive open-world will reportedly take you hundreds of hours to fully explore, and I wouldn’t be surprised if more than a few of those hours are spent finding the game’s various hidden safes and trying to unlock them.
While Dying Light 2‘s safes are almost always in relatively close proximity of their codes (or clues that will lead you to them) it usually takes quite a bit of time to both find the safes themselves and the clues that lead you to their codes. That being the case, you’ll sometimes just want to skip to the solution and collect your rewards.
That being the case, here is the code for every safe in Dying Light 2 that has been found so far.

Studio Babelsberg, the historic German studio that recently hosted “The Matrix Resurrections” production, has been acquired by Tpg Real Estate Partners.
The company, which is part of global alternative asset firm Tpg, first revealed plans to acquire a stake in the studio in September via Trep’s acquisition of Babelsberg’s main shareholder, Filmbetriebe Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (Fbb), which was controlled by Carl L. Woebcken and Christoph Fisser. As part of that deal, Fbb launched a public tender offer to acquire a majority of the shares in Studio Babelsberg, which went through in October.
All closing conditions of the transaction have now been fulfilled, the companies have said, with Woebcken and Fisser continuing to hold a minority stake in the studio.
Studio Babelsberg now sits within Trep’s global studio platform, Cinespace Studios, which is the second largest sound stage operator in North America and, with Babelsberg in the fold,...

Entertainment, led by eOne, bolstered sales at Hasbro last quarter, partly offsetting Covid-related supply chain bottlenecks that hit toy deliveries.
Entertainment revenues surged 76% to $327 million and adjusted operating profit swung to $42 million from a $3.6 million loss the year before. The company cited television deliveries of Yellowjackets and The Rookie and Moonshine, as well as sales of Fear the Walking Dead among other scripted and unscripted programs. Film revenue grew behind Come from Away and Finch. Family brands revenue growth was highlighted by the delivery of My Little Pony: A New Generation to Netflix (debuted last month) and content deals for Peppa Pig and Pj Masks.
Brian Goldner, who led the company’s successful charge into entertainment during his 13 years as CEO, including the key acquisition of eOne in 2019, passed away earlier this month from cancer at age 58.
Goldner “transformed an almost 100-year-old toy company into a leading global entertainment company.
