Be careful who you trust!
Sleepin_Dragon21 October 2021
Another game, another tough challenge of life and death. Further alliances are formed, as are new hatreds. This is by far the best of the first four episode, it was quite literally breathless from start to finish.

This really does serve to establish the dynamics of the main players, we are left in no count as to the identify of the good Gus, and bad alike, one poor character gets a rude awakening.

Brutal, intense, this one didn't build to a crescendo, it seemed to hit that very early on, brutal, violent, nightmarish, but rather exciting.

Definitely hooked, 9/10.

One of the better episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
One of the better episodes. Squid game or games is more then just a game, but a social experiment. After the character development of the last episode pushes the characters into the story line for the next episode. The viewer finds out the dorm become a prison. There is not enough food and there a line cuts. The plot twist is when one of the players is killed in a fight, and the money toll goes up and free for all starts. Desperate gamers in need of money divide into tribe as the criminal element thrives. Well directed and executed. . A must watch. 8 stars.

Intense and well made

Greetings from Lithuania.

4th episode named "Stick to the Team" was very intense and very well made. This episode as well as the whole show is not exactly for viewers who might be easily disturbed. Because things see in this episode were very disturbing, at least for me.

Acting, writing and directing were top notch, making this so far the most intense episode yet.

Fantastic again

Another fantastic episode. I normally hate strobe lighting but it was used wonderfully here in the most shocking set-piece yet, and it's not even a game! The quality of the direction is top-notch and the suspense is out of the window. The next game is just as riveting as the last two, and my only complaint is with the cliffhanger ending; I hate these but can let them off thanks to the overall quality if th show.

This episode is amazing. The acting was phenomenal and the big fight after lights out was both great action but also emotional at the same time. This series is really making you wonder who to root for and blurring the line of morality.

Best entry yet!

Warning: Spoilers
Just for the ambush in the night alone, shot like a proper horror movie, this episode ties with the pilot in quality and awe. When the violence strikes, it really hurts. Plus, to see how guards react and some clues left here and there are an absolute joy to watch. Riveting.

Trust, Trust and Trust!
AyonSahaa10 October 2021
Top-notch! This episode is the best till now. Full of suspense and thrill.

Trust people, if you don't know him, trust! If you know him, trust him! You have to trust people because you need them to survive. The last scene was awesome too. Creating too much excitement, and suddenly it's ending. That was clever.

Epilepsy Warning

Five minutes of white stroboscopic light, that feels like an EEG not what you want to see before going to sleep.

It should be advertised to the viewer, it was kind of painful to watch.

However it is a good tv show.

Teammates

Still good with some tension again. The squid game make the participants want to destroy each other and the night is clearly not quiet. A lot of violence here. They prepared themself for the next game. Dont know what to say, we still want to know the end and what will happened and whos gonna win. For the next game, they need to be 10 each, and because of that we can see some tensions and the true intentions of some of them.

Warning: Spoilers
From quitting after ep 1 to force-watching the following ones, through this. THIS is the moment I've been waiting for, that made me feel emotions - excitement, anger, fear, sympathy... and the game was also the best one so far. Just wished they hadn't cut off the ending and left us guessing.

Very engaging series!

This gives me La Casa de Papel vibes but honestly I like the characters here much more! Plus, it focuses more on the events and less on the sexual scenes which is common sense for a survival show. Must watch!

Teamwork?
raffaellofilipus17 October 2021
This episode shows another greatly shot and suspenseful episode (even though you know the main characters ain't gonna die). But I mainly just don't see a reason for it to exist, other than showing us another game, and getting us attached to the characters more.

The game saved the day!
dakuchonekobing14 October 2021
This episode tested my patience, at least by the end of the episode, it paid off. The game is very good and interesting, the tug of war is described quite detailed and meticulous, which makes it look very realistic. The production design in this show still impresses me, however, the absurdity continues to emerge. The scale of this game makes me feel like these people are working on building rockets instead of just making a deadly game. This is a bit silly and odd. But i'm sure a lot of people will like the North Korean short-haired girl, code 067, because I'm starting to like her too.

There are a few things I don't like about this episode, which is the fact that people have almost no emotions when going through many deadly games, which is quite absurd. And with the production scale of NASA-sized facilities, this masked criminals did not even bother to verify that the player code 271 was really dead or not, but they hurriedly announced it on the electronic board. Players also don't wonder how many more games they will have to go through, and in this episode the criminals are so kind that they allow a couple to have sex in the toilet and plan from the beginning to the end. All of the above is a bit unrealistic and ridiculous.

Wisdom vs. Strength
gedikreverdi10 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
There was chaos under strobing lights so that the weaker players would be killed by the others after a weaker meal than usual. The overly attached woman was betrayed by her lover with a tattoo on his face and she swore to kill him. The old man seems to have dementia and his wisdom in this game seems to save them. The thief girl has brought another girl to the team and the doctor is involved in organ trafficking with some workers in pink suits with the bodies of heavily wounded eliminated players.

Madness!
Near-L22 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm choosing to review the show through this episode because its where the show peaked, absolutely terrifying scenario got me on the edge on my seat. But the show loses it's traction towards the end with stupid plot twists and cringe Vips. Yes the final twist is good and make sense but the strongest point of the show to me was that success is often measured by money when it should be measured by how much of a human a person is. Another complaint is how good characters die in terrible gory ways while the despicable ones die off screen. Game of Thrones suffered from that too, always being cruel with good characters while not showing the revenge death. But this was a hell of an experience. Koreans are amazing in the television business but this show could have been on another level. Crazy good show that after episode 6 suffers to stay interesting. A lot of things make sense with the twist from episode 9 but its not enough to reach the levels it did in the first 6 episodes. The characters were very well fleshed out and the irony of all that brutality being just the old guy wanting to feel like he used to as a kid was sweet. My review is all over the place i know, my mind doesn't think in a linear way. Definitely watch it. Looking forward for more Korean gems.

Another dimension
thorzpwnijjmn26 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What was brilliant about this episode is how it unveiled the most interesting, crucial, and horrifying dimension to the whole game: the fact that murdering your fellow players is 100% game-legal. You can just see the whole social paradigm of their situation shatter around Gi-hun and the other roughly good-aligned characters in sharp, grisly fragments as it begins to dawn on them that, in order to win the whole thing, they not only have to survive the lethally strict rules of each game, but survive each other. And by extension, we get the first hints that even the good will have to turn killer to win.

That latter element is, again I'll use the word, brilliantly explored for audience and player alike in the game they play right after that gruesome night: tug of war. It's the first game where winning means killing, as opposed to the previous games where theoretically everyone could win and move to the next round. And the filmmakers did a great job reflecting just how heavy the moral weight was of having to pull those other human beings over the edge and to their deaths.

After the first episode, I was pretty disappointed that the games seemed to be fairly one-dimensional (be good at avoiding a motion sensor and you'll pass) but then "Hell" added another dimension by adding the element of agency to the game: they can leave and come back at the majority's will. But this episode, "Stick to the Team," took it even further by adding this central, gripping dimension that would define the show to the end: Kill or Be Killed.

Can understand some but not all
aboalhyjaa21 September 2021
The strongest episode so far.

They tried to deliver in idea, which is the human nature and how the deadly sins are in them wether we like it or not.

But unfortunately there are some mistakes and i wont mention them because this review is spoilers free, but im sure any viewer will notice at least some.
