It’s been a long strange trip for native New Yorkers Dominick Filopei and Bo Pericic – and a few years since the duo more commonly known as Filo & Peri implanted club staples like “Long Train Running” and “Anthem” into the sonic sound banks of dance music aficionados. Having pumped out flurry of tunes under Armin van Buuren’s Armada and Paul van Dyk’s Vandit records, the duo is a familiar name to those in the know. But throw in a few curve balls, a beastly music business and some admitted inexperience, the duo decided to step back, re-evaluate and more importantly recalibrate. Now, after two years, the reinvented duo is back on course with a new plan of attack, a killer new single and a mindset to live by – "The road to success is never a straight line.”

The festival also announced the rest of the six-person jury: U.K.-based writer Patrick McGrath, German director Edgar Reitz, Belgian director Ulu Grosbard, Italian writer and journalist Natalia Aspesi, and Olga Sviblova, director of the Multimedia Arts Museum in Moscow. Dame Helen Mirren and Italy's Sergio Castellitto have scored the big acting honours at the Rome Film Festival in Italy.
The Queen star Mirren was named Best Actress for her portrayal of Leo Tolstoy's wife in The Last Station, while Castellitto claimed the festival's Best Actor prize for Alza la Testa.
But the big talking point of Friday's awards ceremony was the Best Film winner, Brotherhood - a controversial Danish movie about a gay romance between two neo-Nazis.
Meryl Streep was honoured with the festival's Lifetime Career Achievement Award.
