I think we need to stick with it
thegaleafamily14 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We can't just give up, I thought it wasn't too bad this week, and thought the money pop ups just shows you how much these guys have to spend on material things and how much it's costs to get things done.

It wasn't great but I hope things can improve.

Formula is stale
baldrics-974-46027015 February 2022
I think that when Bobby left they should have called it. It all seems contrived now, but not cleverly contrived like early episodes. It gas lost something, and the writing no longer grabs me as it did.

Loosing interest
mv17166122 February 2022
I loved this series but now I am loosing interest....not totalling knowing why. This episode with receipts ( that I could barely read) was weird. Prince's popping in and out stealing and buying talent is annoying. And do these people actually work? Getting a bit woke.

They spending
AfricanBro13 February 2022
Okay, this video game stats thing they're doing in S06E04 to show how much each person us spending on their attire or gear etcetera, is quite childish and don't really approve because it feels like writers are running out of ways to keep it interesting, but damn these guys are balling. Of course they are, it's Billions, but I've never gave much thought to the small details. The show's already on the hinges and cheap plays like those don't cut it.

It's still a great show
mr_saqib1814 February 2022
The on screen displays of money being spent/worn was something original! We have had 64 episodes of Billions so far, this was something new and should be Applauded. If we get the same thing season after season, then the show will go stale.

Even I thought after Bobby Axelrod being written out the show wouldn't make sense but it has continued to be relevant, the show is popular because people want an insight into the world of billionaire traders, Doesn't matter if it's Axelrod, Mike Prince or some other new character they may introduce.

Speaking of Prince, the Scene where he puts Taylor Mason in her place by asserting how much wealth and power he has, reminds me of the cockiness and confidence that Bobby Axelrod once had.

Oh and for those who don't get the Duran Duran 'Hungry Like The Wolf' reference that Chuck Rhodes makes early on in the episode....back in 2002 Paul Giamatti stared in a children comedy film Called BIG FAT LIAR, in that he was dyed entirely in Blue Ink and danced around to the song 'Hungry Like The Wolf'.

Just type "Paul Giamatti Hungry Like the Wolf" into YouTube and you'll see what I mean.

Don't be quick to give up on BILLIONS, you would miss it if it got cancelled...

Can't understand the harsh critisism
anders-444-26325815 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First off, the show without Damian Lewis really isn't the same. The conflict between Rhoades and Axelrod kept the show going for almost 5 seasons, but it started to stale towards the end of last season.

Adding the character of Mike Prince to try to send the show in a different direction is a ballsy move, and even though it breaks with what this show originally was, it's starting to grow on me.

Where the previous seasons showed the cool investors doing whatever they needed to do to make big profits, the new season tries to switch the narrative to show these rich guys as a quite self-centered bunch. The differences in the world is growing bigger every day, and there is a flaw in the system when some people can spent 300 mill on a giga-yacht, and another 300 mill to greenwash it to make it come off as carbon neutral.

In my eyes, the true protagonist I keep rooting for is Taylor Mason, and I hope that Prince keep pushing their buttons until his well deserved day of reckoning comes. For even though Prince tries to paint a picture of himself being a good guy, he still is a sleazy billionare only focused on his own ever growing wealth and fame.

Change the name to Bankrupt
stevewearp13 February 2022
This series is flatlined, DEAD as disco. Now it's just cheap flexes of liberal wokeness. Did the writers quit? Cuz that's the feel I get here. And this pop-up of pricing out outfits or scene content is like putting speed bumps on a Nascar track. Great job killing everything you've had building for 4 seasons. Take the L.

Ostentation or civility
emotionalliterate14 February 2022
In case anyone was wondering, we do live in a capitalist society, and the value of things is increasingly important. The criticism seems unwarranted and grossly oversimplified. The enviroment these people reside in is monetary theatre of operations and yet you scoff at the idea. I fought it insightful and alluring. The glamorous lifestyle they live we would all dream about in some respects, in an ideal world. More importantly the ethical attachment added by certain characters shows the duality....

Talk about a fall from grace
davidmkuhn14 February 2022
They lost me when Prince referred to bribery as "the B word".

The characters seem to have lost their charisma aside from Wags, I think this one is ready to be cancelled.

Finally a great episode in this season we were all looking for. Billions is back!

Everything's there, ambition, greed, backstabbing. Great stuff.

I hope this is a true new beginning.

What The Hell Was That?
douglasmcbroom14 February 2022
...Because it sure as Hell wasn't Billions.

We start with John Calipari who never met a basketball program he couldn't destroy by cheating. Then we're treated to the most obvious false flag operation, Sacker and Ira, since Luca Brasi slept with the fishes.

After last week, I thought maybe they were on to something-plot wise- but this weeks woke fest disabused me of that notion. WiFi for Sub-Saharan Africa? Give me a break! They've even managed to turn Wags into a shadow of his former self. And this absurd Shopping Network price-printout is ludicrous. This episode dragged and was boring.

At this point, I am very close to bailing.

Annoying ..... small list of lined items throughout episode
runsky13 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I normally like the visuals on this series however this episode is 1000% annoying with their cash register 'DINGS!" and line items throughout this episode.

Additionally, this episode is nothing like the previous episodes. It's becoming mundane, and stale.

Bring back all the adventure, charisma, and thrill from the previous seasons!! What happened?

Who Green lit this episode?
murmaider2417 February 2022
Not sure what I just watched. There is still potential with the characters here but if this is the path they will follow I'm gonna have to bow out.

The itemized freeze frame shots throughout the episode just cheapens the quality of the show.

To the writers of this brilliant show, please don't treat us loyal fans like a bunch of superficial idiots. This episode is not what we signed up for.

Billionaire Socialists
mikesampson-0166917 February 2022
I am sure these anti capitalists writers are working for free and taking the bus to work. Typical liberal hypocrites. I only watch this show to see sexy Maggie Siff. She oozes sex appeal in her black outfits.

Woke Joke
michael-561-69289221 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Now that axe is gone you've got a weird play on what was once not a PC show. None of the characters play their original roles anymore. No more drugs, no more girls, no more partying or insane circumstance. Now it's been replaced with mediocrity. This particular episode even ends with Chucks #1 femme fatale as hopping over to the new cap group. Hard to ignore the race plays here. Femme fatale who makes odd looks while speaking, Princes sidekick, new recruits - all POC. Last two seasons it was about powerful chicks. This season it's about politics and race.

What happened to this? We've traded the unbelievable with the fully predictable garbage only hinged on the race wars of America. Facepalm.

What the heck
shibbydad17 February 2022
The extreme wokeness is going off the deep end. A picture of Stacy Abrams hanging in the office?! What's next a photo of Cuomo or Hillary Clinton?

And quit trying to have the oddest guest celebrities. Stick to the occasional New Yorker that folks might care about.

Oh dear.
jk_sewell24 February 2022
Been at home sick for a few days and took the time to binge watch seasons 1 and 2 which reminded my why this USED to be my favourite show of all time.

The early seasons were sooo good.

Returning to season 6, it has drifted so far from where it started to become almost unrecognisable.

This season is boring, with terrible dialogue, one dimensional characters, limited plots, no intrigue or tension, even the music is peppy and cheesy.

Mike Prince is a such a tedious character. "Don't use the b-word in front of me". Give me a break. If you are going to "replace" Axe, find a decent actor and give them a decent character.

And seriously, what's with the pop up price lists....???

Oh dear.

Good to see Ira back though.

If you're fed up of where Billions is at, just go back and watch the early seasons. You won't be disappointed.

It's just getting worse and worse... guess I need to turn off
anthonyneil-120218 March 2022
So woke. So bad. So stupid.

Hue can a show go this bad this quickly?

Wokeism truly ruins everything it touches. Love that everyone and everything has a price tag assigned. How moronic. No one can do this for the competition? For the motivation? Better to give everyone a participation trophy.

I ask again. Have comrades Sorkin. Koopleman donated their salaries to the government? To charity? Hypocrites one and all.

Please please end this misery.

Dragged a 30m viewing into 45m with a pathetic price list freeze frame
martinjosephmorris16 February 2022
When this show started it was genius, witty, sharp and unlike so many other generic shows. Damien Lewis was brilliant, but I loved enough of the other characters to keep watching. The story seems dull, Prince is a clown compared to Axe. The freezing frame episode of them trying to fill content with some boring break down of costs spent is cheap, and time wasting. Should have canned the show when Damien Lewis didn't renew. Guts.

Don't ever do an episode like that again really really poor. Seriously who thought the cash register receipt popping up destroyed the episode. Is there new writers or directors in this series.

Heading for the iceberg
BjornRates21 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I wish I could tell you that Billions is getting back on track in it's former glory days but I just can not. Episode 4 tried to implement a new style in the series putting value, literally, text graphics showing the costs of what item/clothes the people are wearing. If you need to do that, you have failed to show real value by creating the right environment/feeling of the scenes. It's what we felt in former seasons "damn I bet that jacket Axe is wearing costs a fortune!". *Boom* Gone right now, out the window.

Storyline is just getting more uncoloured the further we go, the scenery is decent, B+ but the feeling of this "world" is just getting stuck, it's not opened anymore. You can almost get the feeling we are stuck in 4 rooms.

How in the world has the production team that has formed this great series..sorry, former great series, granted this new season a Green light. It's just getting worse and worse. Shame.

Terrible how to ruin a good series
colinabetteridge21 February 2022
So 6 seasons in and they've lost the main character which you can live with however they decide to stop the show every few minutes with nonsense lists telling you what characters are wearing in an effort to make you buy them I suspect either way completely ruins flow of the show.

Well done lost me as a viewer can be bothered with this tripe now.
