The previous teasers for The Blackcoat's Daughter director Osgood Perkins' next feature, Longlegs, have been very effective in building an aura of unsettling dread around the mysterious horror flick, but this latest trailer really takes things to another level.
Though the movie is still playing things relatively close to the chest when it comes to revealing specific plot details, this footage does give us a little more to go on, as rookie FBI agent Lee Harker (It Follows star Maika Monroe) becomes obsessed with tracking down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families - and might just have supernatural abilities.
Harker has a personal connection to the killer (did she survive an earlier attack?), which leads her down an even darker path and into the world of the Occult.
Say your prayers, check out the new trailer and poster below along with the initial social media reactions, and...

If there's one thing that actor Maika Monroe is going to do, it's put on a brilliant performance in a critically-acclaimed horror movie that's destined to be underseen and underappreciated by most of the general moviegoing public at large. The scream queen's first real breakthrough role came in 2014's "The Guest" and she wasted no time following that up with "It Follows" (which is receiving a sequel with the original cast reprising their roles), 2022's criminally underrated "Watcher," and the Paramount+ original "Significant Other."
This time, however, the star is backed up by none other than Nicolas Cage and actor-turned-director Oz Perkins on "Longlegs" in the hopes that audiences will be right on time to appreciate whatever scares and compelling imagery await. This latest horror feature comes with a fair amount of hype behind it, with previous trailers setting the stage for an occult thriller with one heck of an unsettling sense of atmosphere.

Longlegs is said to be “in the vein of classic Hollywood psychological thrillers,” and early reviews have favorably compared the film to the classic ’90s thriller The Silence of the Lambs.

Horror fans have been keeping a very close eye on director Osgood Perkins' next project, and the first social media reactions for the mysterious Longlegs are in.
These reactions are highly positive, and it sounds like the movie is a genuinely disturbing, terrifying experience.
Though Longlegs definitely seems to be keeping its biggest secrets firmly under wraps for the time being (and the teasers are all the better for it), we do know that the plot revolves around a rookie FBI agent (It Follows star Maika Monroe) attempting to track down a sadistic serial killer (Nicolas Cage) who targets families.
Cage's character has largely been kept out of the marketing, aside from one unsettling shot.
Check out the social media posts below, and keep an eye out for a new trailer.

If you ever thought to yourself, What would it be like if Limp Bizkit and Corey Feldman went on tour together?, then you might belong in Loserville. No, we’re not taking jabs at you (but come on…) – that’s the name of the tour. Fred Durst and the most limp of bizkits will be hitting the road next year for the Loserville Tour, their first in the U.S. since 2022’s Still Sucks shows.
The Loserville tour will see Limp Bizkit and company hitting all of your favorite U.S. cities, like Somerset, Wi, Holmdel, NJ and Pelham, Al. All right, so Limp Bizkit is an easy target, but they’ll still be landing in Toronto, Charlotte, Houston, and some other metropolitans over the course of their 24-city tour. Unfortunately for hometown devotees, they won’t be making it to Jacksonville, Fl, instead taking the stage in Tampa about three hours away.

Ever get that feeling that something's creeping up right behind you? Eh, don't worry about it, I'm sure it's nothing. Nothing, that is, except the news that one of the freakiest horror movies ever made is about to get a long-awaited sequel.
Back in 2015, writer/director David Robert Mitchell unleashed the tense and quietly terrifying "It Follows" upon unsuspecting viewers. Critics hailed it as an instant classic while audiences ate it up and asked for seconds, helping the very responsibly-budgeted horror flick make more than 20 times its cost during its theatrical run. It was, by all reasonable metrics, an unmitigated success and the unofficial beginning of star Maika Monroe's ascension to genuine scream queen territory. Now, almost a decade later, indie-friendly studio Neon is throwing their distribution and production muscle behind a sequel, titled "They Follow."

The wolf pack is hoping for Emmys love.
“Teen Wolf: The Movie,” Paramount+’s adaptation of the MTV supernatural-thriller series, has been submitted for the Primetime Emmy Awards for outstanding television movie, Variety has learned exclusively.
Moreover, the streamer also submitted the film in five other categories: lead actor in a limited or anthology series or movie (Tyler Posey), directing (Russell Mulcahy), writing, prosthetic makeup and original music and lyrics (“Lemon” by Tyler Posey). This provides Posey, who plays the True Alpha werewolf Scott and produces the film, three chances for recognition.

Shindler’s credits include ‘It’s A Sin’ and ‘Happy Valley’.
The scripted television industry has “changed enormously” for women, according to UK producer Nicola Shindler, who was honoured at Series Mania last night with the festival’s Women in Series Award 2023.
Shindler made her name producing Russell T Davies hit drama Queer as Folk in 2000. When she began her career as a script editor there had been very few female producers with whom to work. “But my generation kind of moved up in the UK to be producers. A lot of those women have gone on to be executive producers.

U.K. producer Nicola Shindler received on Tuesday the third Women in Series Award at Series Mania, Europe biggest TV festival.
Few awards seem such just reward. From serving as a script editor on “Cracker” (1993), Jimmy McGovern’s breakout, to producing his “Hillsborough” (1995) and executive producing “Queer as Folk” (1999) which heralded Russell T. Davies as a major writing talent, very few producers have been so consistently successful down the decades.
Shows produced by Shindler in just the last 10 years take in Sally Wainwright’s “Happy Valley” (2014), Harlan Coben’s “The Five” (2016) and “Safe” (2018), Davies’ “Years and Years and It’s a Sin, his consecration, and now “Nolly,” made by Shindler out of Quay Street Productions, her new label launched in 2021 as part of ITV Studios.

The new horror movie Significant Other asks the question, “Is camping in the vast wilderness truly scary?” Despite Harry (Jake Lacy) trying to assure his anxious girlfriend (Maika Monroe) that everything’s okay, the actual answer to that question is of course, yes…
It has been an exciting year for horror fans. Besides the return of several beloved franchises, original movies like the recent Smile, Barbarian, and notably, gore fest Terrifier 2 are doing bigger numbers. Hidden among the new, original horror is another new movie that’s one of the most interesting, and surprising of the year.
Robert Olsen and Dan Berk’s film can’t be labeled or cornered into a box because it’s not simply one kind of movie. It transforms into several throughout; each time, unexpectedly.

Significant Other, a new thriller-drama that premiered this weekend at New York ComicCon, follows a couple as they embark on a backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest. It all takes a dark turn when they realize that nothing is as it seems.
Jake Lacy, the White Lotus star who plays Harry, and Maika Monroe, who plays Ruth, spoke with uInterview founder Erik Meers at Nycc to reveal how they got involved with the film.
“I had worked with the directors before on a project called Villains and had the most incredible time,” Monroe said. “They came to me with this next project and I read the script ad it was quite good and I said yes!”

Maika Monroe and Jake Lacy take on quite the terrifying topic in Robert Olsen and Dan Berk’s latest sci-fi thriller: marriage. In Significant Other, streaming now exclusively on Paramount+, Monroe and Lacy play Ruth and Harry, a couple on a backpacking trip in the Pacific Northwest that takes a sinister turn. Clocking in at just under 90 minutes, Significant Other proves you don’t need three hours to play out a detailed plot. With beloved films like It Follows under her belt, Monroe has made the horror/thriller genres her bread and butter. And Lacy returns to his “nice guy” persona for most of the flick, but there is, of course, a twist. The stars and writers stopped by TV Insider’s New York Comic-Con 2022 suite to discuss the themes explored in the movie, from marriage being someone’s worst nightmare to the things women are expected to do for their male partners.

"Some day I'm gonna change… Maybe you'll love that new version of me, and maybe you won't." Scary. Paramount has revealed an official trailer for a mysterious lost in the woods sci-fi thriller titled Significant Other, which will be available for streaming (only!) starting in October on Paramount+. This sounds quite eerie. Significant Other follows a young couple who take a remote backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest, but things take a dark turn when they realize they may not be alone. Starring Maika Monroe & Jake Lacy, also with Teal Sherer & Loudon McCleery. This looks very creepy, with tons of strange occurrences. It seems she gets into this blue goo which creates a copy of her? Reminds me of Annihilation or a few other horror films that I don't want to spoil now. Also some nice dual-focus shots in here. Check it out. ›››

Jake Lacy is taking the leap into marriage. No, really: The trailer for Paramount+ horror film “Significant Other” shows the “White Lotus” alum plunging headfirst off a cliff to his death mere moments after proposing to his girlfriend. Anything to escape the cage of marriage, it seems.
“Significant Other” stars Lacy as Harry, an unsuspecting partner who is head over heels (literally) for fiancée Ruth, played by “It Follows” actress Maika Monroe. The couple go on a remote backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest, where Ruth seems to tap into the more supernatural elements of the forest. As Ruth imagines Harry plunging to his gruesome death, the couple become more and more paranoid that they may not be alone. “Significant Other” premieres October 7.
The R-rated film also stars Teal Sherer and Loudon McCleery. “Significant Other” is directed and co-written by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, the filmmaking duo behind “Body” and “Villains.

A lot of bad things can happen when you go out in the woods with your partner. There are wild animals. Horror movies taught us there could be evil murderers with machetes. But sometimes, as in the new film, “Significant Other,” the scariest part of going in the woods is maybe your partner. Do you really know they won’t murder you in cold blood?

Itvx, the upcoming streaming platform from U.K. broadcaster ITV, will launch in November.
ITV managing director for media and entertainment Kevin Lygo confirmed the launch date during a panel at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Wednesday afternoon.
It will replace ITV’s current streaming platform ITV Hub.
“The content that will be commissioned specifically for this, and [bought] in from America for this” will be “edgier” and viewed as an accompaniment to the traditional linear channel said Lygo.
He promised hundreds of thousands of hours of acquisitions including films thanks to “huge deals with movie studios” the network has done. He also said “there will be a new programming event dropped on to the service exclusively” regularly.
As well as news, entertainment, films and comedy there will be boxsets and other shows.
“I think this way we’ll be using the programming to better effect,” he said of the plan...
