- BaaadDad: [commenting over the music video for 'Late In The Day' by Supergrass] It's always good to see people overcome their natural disadvantages and here's a young man who has made up in enthusiasm and tunefulness what he lacks in good looks. And instead of the hideous and aggressive caterwauling that I associate with most pop songs, here is one that I'm surprised to say is positively uplifting. For a change this is not about how awful life or the world is, this is about missing his wife. The tune bounces along happily enough, which I suppose is why the director has chosen to put the band on these pogo sticks. In fact, this reminds me sentimentally of a song about tiggers that Adam used to like very much when he was young. It's not genius, but it's bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, bouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, fun.
