Micro budgeted, shoestring low-fi improvisation.... but I liked it.

Clyde and Jed are two depraved Dublin scumbags whose idea of a really good time is to kidnap a girl, and subject her to a weekend of torture and mayhem in a rented cottage they keep handy. However, upon kidnapping their latest victim Sarah, they discover something's wrong in the cottage they've rented and in the surrounding countryside. It's almost as if someone or something is watching them...

The Disturbed won't be to everyone's tastes at all, particularly fans of big budget mainstream horror, as it was shot in five days, using mainly improvised dialogue. It's a uniquely Dublin film, with slang, accents and humor that will probably be indecipherable to non Dublin horror fans. However, it's tons of heart, some nice ideas (regretably hampered by its budget)and I personally liked it, probably because i'm from Dublin.

Fans of micro budgeted horror though, could probably do a lot worse, as it has an undeniable verve to it, that personally made absorbing viewing for me.

Not a great film by any means, but worth a watch anyway, with some decent humor.
