The scenes in the manager office between Nathan (Robert Sheehan) and Bev (Perry Benson) were the first ever Misfits material shot.
When Nathan (Robert Sheehan) is at the bowling alley his stance, licking of the ball and the backing music are an almost exact copy of a scene in The Big Lebowski (1998), in which Jesus Quintana (John Turturro), a known pervert, bowls a strike to the disgust of the main characters.

This episode is Curtis-centric, although we do gain some insight to the pre-storm background story of all the characters, including Tony (Danny Sapani) and Sally (Alex Reid), who all unknowingly interacted at the bowling alley and adjacent disco the night of Curtis (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett)' arrest.
The episode was given mixed reviews by critics but one of the most used was that the episode was overall confusing and a waste of time.
