Colin Glendon's ship York collides with a tug owned by a very independent George Gaudette. Subsequently, when Glendon is sued by Gaudette, he is understandably upset and is determined to retaliate by putting him out of business. Glendon is not adverse to bending the law to get his own way and using all his influence to get rid of Gaudette. King is reluctantly used as a go-between but manages to see through Glendon's deceit.
