It's definitely an intriguing story.

With Alexander Litvinenko dead from plutonium poisoning, The Metropolitan Police begin the investigation into how he was poisoned and where, the trace his steps back.

I was intrigued to see which way they'd go with the second episode, I was expecting it to flip back and perhaps show Litvinenko's final steps, but instead is a direct continuation.

It's definitely an intriguing story, and it's so interesting to see the way that The Police went about tracing the source of the plutonium. I think it's fair to say it does perhaps seem a little lost without Tennant.

It is very interesting to think of where we are in the world today in regard to certain powers, was this perhaps the start of things to come, this seemed somewhat like a toe being dipped in the water so to speak.

6/10.

By the end of the second episode of Litvinenko. I really did feel this should had been a television movie.

Despite the prominence of David Tennant in the publicity. He is largely absent here. Litvinenko is dead, he died from Polonium poisoning.

The police investigate just how Litvinenko died. How did the poison get to Britain and when it was administered to him.

Litvinenko's favourite restaurant and the CCTV footage will provide the answers.

What the police did not count on were the shadowy figures from the government security forces.

Litvinenko did some work the security services but they do not want to rock the boat. An indication that no culprit will be extradited from Russia.

This is a realpolitik police procedural. It is less about Litvinenko, he might as well be a peripheral figure in a series named after him.
