Everybody wants to buy the perfect house right? The house that seems just right for what you need. What would you do if the basement had hidden secrets, like a history if bloody gory murder would you still want it?
The Fear (aka The Perfect House) is something we’ve been lacking for a while. A good anthology of horror, no ghosts though just good old fashioned gore all interwoven into a story about a house for sale. As a realtor shows a couple around a house we learn the three stories of what have gone on in and around the basement.
The first is of a family hiding from a storm outside. They include a psychopathic mother,...

Remember a few years back when the anthology The Perfect House was the first film to debut on Facebook? Well, it's now available for download from sites like Amazon and iTunes so distributor Gravitas Ventures has released one of those newfangled audience reaction trailers for it.
The flick stars Jonathan Tiersten, Holly Greene, Andrea Vahl, Monique Parent, Chris Raab, John Philbin, and Felissa Rose. It was co-directed by Kris Hulbert and Randy Kent and written by Hulbert.
Synopsis:
The Perfect House is an anthology inspired by the styles of three of the most famous time periods and sub-genres of horror. Each vignette reveals a dark side to suburban anonymity through three different owners of the same house.
The first vignette is a suspense-driven tale about a dysfunctional family of four riding out a violent storm in a cellar where secrets never stay buried. The middle installment offers a classic 80's slasher story.

You might remember Kris Hulbert from ShockYa’s interview with him and his creative partner Randy Kent about their first film, “The Perfect House.” Well, Hulbert is back with a brand new film, “Just Drive.” The film takes place completely in a limo, but don’t think it’s in the same vein as “Cosmopolis.” Here’s what Hulbert said about the film: “When I finished ‘The Perfect House’ I wasn’t prepared for the evil and greed that we would become exposed to at every turn. Nor was I prepared for the friends and family that would be exposed as they went from supportive to openly hoping I failed. But, it was the financial [ Read More ]

Kris Hulbert's passion is unbelievable. I've met a lot of filmmakers and artists in my time, but this dude just oozes passion. He cares. One conversation with the guy and you're a convert to the cause. The cause being The Perfect House, Hulbert's horror anthology that functions as a love-letter to classic and modern horror. Tense, gory and sometimes brutal, the film is one of the better anthology films in recent years. I'm hesitant to invoke the Creepshow connection here, if only because I know genre nerds will get uptight about it. Comparing The Perfect House to something like the Masters of Horror series is maybe more accurate, only The Perfect House has the balls to go places Masters of Horror didn't. I'd also say that The Perfect House is more effective than Masters of Horror if only for the fact that Hulbert's direction and writing is smarter than...

As authorities scramble to contain the monsters, they discover that one man is behind them. His name is Demetrius Valenkov. And he has a message for the United States: Find A Cure.
The disease evades an international coalition of top scientists. The president must prepare an unspeakable solution. But one person has picked up Demetrius Valenkov’s trail: FBI counterterrorism specialist Brianna Tildascow. Forged by tragedy, training and technology, she’s the government’s most efficient-and ruthless-manhunter.

What would horror be like without women? It would suck ass. Sure, a big guy is intimidating, but women as killers (or their creators) make everything so much more interesting. Which is why we're happy to remind you it's Women in Horror Month, time to give blood - and cash - to charity.
As it has in the past, Women in Horror Month is sponsoring a Massive Blood Drive as a way to motivate us to get out and give blood - the medical way so it can be reused, not the splatter all over the floor way! To book an appointment, call 1-888-z-donate.
In addition Gratwick Films has taken up the charitable torch and started a fundraising campaign for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation based around its film The Perfect House.
Women in Horror Month, led by founder Hannah Neurotica, is now in its third year and going strong.

With Drive-In Massacre producer Brandon Sites promised sex, drugs, a drive-in and, of course, a massacre. He then went on to ponder "what else could you want?". ...well, there was one thing missing. How about a little rock n' roll? Jonathan Tiersten, who so memorably starred in Sleepaway Camp, Return to Sleepaway Camp & The Perfect House, has just signed on to star in Drive-In Massacre.
Jonathan Tiersten is able to convey that bad boy sensibility effortlessly. There is something inherently exciting and dangerous about that kind of persona on screen which seamlessly lends itself to a slasher. He was that missing element that will bring it all together in Drive-In Massacre.
Drive-In Massacre is about a cursed drive-in movie theater. A group of college aged kids who ignored all the signs. Now, one fateful night he will make them pay for their indiscretions.... in Blood!!!

The Perfect House An all new trailer (seen below, after the jump) showing footage previously not seen in the first teaser trailer for "The Perfect House" has just been released. The Perfect House is noteworthy for starring legendary scream queen Felissa Rose of Sleepaway Camp & Return to Sleepaway Camp along with one of her co-stars from that franchise, Jonathan Tiersten. What's interesting this time around is that Felissa Rose is the victim while Jonathan Tiersten plays a psychopathic killer.
The Perfect House is an all new horror anthology that traces the blood soaked history of a house during different time spans with different owners. Jonathan Tiersten who returns to the horror genre, after a lengthy absence, takes on the most difficult role of his career as John Doesy, a killer who brings in a different victim each week to torture, humiliate and finally kill. Jonathan Tiersten was the foul mouthed, angry little Ricky in the original Sleepaway Camp co-starring Felissa Rose and directed by Robert Hilzik, a role that cemented his status as an icon in the horror genre. However, afterwards he disappeared pretty much to not be heard of again until the new millennium when Sleepaway Camp began experiencing a resurgence and the film merited a sequel entitled Return To Sleepaway Camp, directed yet again by Robert Hilzik. However, his acting appearances still remained infrequent. However, he returns to the horror genre with The Perfect House, an anthology film. Here's what Jonathan Tiersten had to say about The Perfect House, Felissa Rose, and so much more.
So who is Jonathan Tiersten and what are you all about?
Wow, what a question. I guess there are a million different ways to answer this and they would all be bullshit. I guess I am a work in progress.
