2025 – the Shuttle has been relegated to glorified taxi. On a routine mission shuttle Atlantis encounters bursts of light shutting down its instrumentation leaving it adrift in space with Rookie Astronaut Travis Black. The rest of the crew find themselves in the middle of a barren, desert wasteland. Crewmembers begin dying in bizarre ways. Travis comes to realize that he has been chosen to compete in some sort of galactic chess game with an Alien entity.
Now, I don’t want to give reviews based on the quality of special effects. Not every film studio has as much money as the big blockbusters so you know they are going to have to go for slightly less impressive graphics. Unfortunately, if...

The Beastmaster goes berserk in this stunning trailer for supernatural horror flick, House Hunting! The indie thriller originally caught my attention for three reasons. First, its premise of two families caught in a house that won't let them leave offered an intriguing old-school premise. Second, it's got a pretty odd ensemble cast in Marc Singer (V, Eagle Eye), Art Lafleur (Field of Dreams, The Rig, Cobra), Rebekah Kennedy (Season of the Witch, Creature) and Paul McGill (Man on Wire, Fame). and third, it's the directorial debut of Dp Eric Hurt, who most recently worked on a scifi flick we're dying to see called called Atlantis Down which is premiering at London Scifi Film Festival right away.
Synopsis:
If the American dream for most families is buying a house then for the two families headed to what they think is a simple open house, their dream is about to become a nightmare.

"House Hunting" a psychological horror thriller written/directed by Eric Hurt. The indie feature is a contemporary exploration of the notion that “hell is other people” and is inspired, in part, on existential philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre’s 1944 play No Exit. House Hunting is a blend of traditional ghost story and psychological thriller. An ensemble piece, it represents two families as they descend into madness while trapped inside a deserted farmhouse.
House Hunting stars Marc Singer (Beastmaster, TV series V), Art Lafleur (Field of Dreams , The Sandlot), Hayley DuMond (Hunter’s Moon), Paul McGill (Fame, Man on Wire), Jamee Vance, Janey Gioiosa and Rebekah Kennedy.
The production team includes writer/director Eric Hurt, executive producer Amy Carney, producers Pat Cassidy & Erica Arvold, Bryan Bieber, Deanna Gould, directors of photography Todd Free & Eric Hurt, production designer Tim Beyerle, and casting director Erica Arvold.

This is a story which came out earlier this weekend on an independent production called Pennhurst; it is worth repeating. Michael Rooker (Atlantis Down) will direct his first feature while starring with Beverley Mitchell (Saw II) and Haylie Duff ("Fear Island"). The film has been budgeted at 100K, with Primary Pictures anchoring the project. The film is in the early stages, but a concept poster can be seen left along with an official website below (Bloody Disgusting).
The synopsis for Pennhurst:
"For decades, Pennhurst psychiatric hospital has been haunted by turbulent supernatural forces. When a local TV show embarks on a mission to capture this paranormal activity, they discover something completely unexpected. As restless souls from the past torment the crew members, they fear for their lives as one by one they are gruesomely murdered. In a surprising revelation, they discover something more terrifying than ghosts is responsible.
