Rachel Brill has been promoted to vice president of unscripted programming for TNT Originals. Brill, who most recently served as director of unscripted development for TNT, is responsible for supervising development of unscripted series, collaborating with directors and producers on developing new ideas, providing creative oversight of unscripted pilots from pre-production through production and post-production; and supervising the continued development of series once they’ve been greenlit. Brill is based in Los Angeles and reports to David Eilenberg, senior vice president of unscripted development for TNT and TBS. Prior to joining TNT, Brill served as vice president of development and supervising producer at Zoo Productions. Exclusive: Studio Lambert, the television production company behind the CBS reality series Undercover Boss, has inked a production partnership deal with indie U.K. production company betty. Under the pact, betty’s UK-created formats will be produced in the U.S. with Studio Lambert. Since its 2001 launch, betty, run by CEO Liz Warner and her business partner Walter Iuzzolino, has created a number of unscripted series and formats, including the BBC Three's docu series Freaky Eaters, which has been remade in the U.S. by Tlc, and the upcoming controversial Channel 4 show Beauty and the Beast, which has an attractive and an physically disfigured person share a house.
