They're back
thomasibach16 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Feels like a return to form to classic sunny. Tons of great jokes, great character driven situational jokes. They actually set things up in the beginning of the episode that pay off at the end. I think they put a lot more work into this two partner than they have in a while. The one thing that never gets followed up on is Dee's actress storyline, which I assume was just an excuse to have them get to Ireland.

It's my own fault that i was hating on my favorite show
Near-L17 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I keep writing reviews right after i watch Sunny episodes in the middle of the day, a bunch of noises and things happening. My high expectations and quick judgement makes me feel like it was a terrible episode. But then when i watch it again, in the quiet night, paying attention to everything that happened without expecting too much because i already know whats going to happen, suddenly i start appreciating and enjoying the show. I still think some parts were too crass and forced ( Mac part, Dee part on the previous episodes) but the rest is just as good as always. What the hell was i thinking? I forbid myself from making reviews from now on. Perception is a funny and crazy thing.

They really just went all out with this one

Warning: Spoilers
IRELAND BABY! It's that character development for the Gang! Of course had it's funny callbacks but this was an important episode for IASIP.

**Spoiler**

Charlie finally meeting his real Father and Frank not giving him enough space. Mac wanting to become a Catholic priest. That Shining scene that's both really chilling and hilarious when COVID-Dennis is unzipped. And then there's Dee, who just has the worst luck with cars.

The Gang is Back
timbirtv16 December 2021
I throughly enjoyed all the storylines in this episode with there also being a lot of funny moments. It seems the Sunny crew has hit their stride once again. Can't wait for the last two episodes seeing as they will still be taking place in Ireland.

Nice to see Megan Ganz was able to direct this episode as well as the last.

Definitely some of the show's best stuff in the past few seasons
mattr-9439916 December 2021
Both of the two Ireland episodes were truly some of the best stuff Sunny has produced in years, but the second episode stands out just a wee bit above the first one. Absolutely loved every plot line for each character (especially Charlie's and Dennis') and they're back to their old antics again in a new place. Really looking forward to the rest of what this season has to offer, cause if the two Ireland episodes are any indication, the rest is sure to be a blast.

Season of Classics?

This season has not had any misses yet! Get your meat cubes out and pull the cheese out of your shoes, because this episode will rock your socks off! I can't believe how strong these episodes are after 15 years, these are as funny as ever!

Still strong after all these years
viqympk17 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is the best episode in years. I actually laughed out loud many times throughout this episode. Also Charlie finally meeting up with his dad and the conflict with Frank was was pretty heartwarming and something I definitely didn't expect to ever happen. Macs storyline is kinda just a regular Mac thing about him being gay and christian, not really much going on there. Dennis getting covid is absolutely god damn hilarious, and the fact that he's in complete denial just makes it that much better.

It is actually a 10/10 after 3rd rewatch.
johzla17 December 2021
Every single scene in this episode is classic Sunny. I didn't appreciate it all as much and thought of it as a rank 8.5 episode after first watch because there was so much always happening.

The more rewatches, the better every scene gets!

Classic Sunny
mcge7217 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Basing the second half of this season in Ireland looks to be a master stroke judging by the first 2 episodes we have been treated to thus far. The gang are on top form in the ways we have come accustomed too... Dennis unleashing full Jack Torrance - mode is the moment we have all been waiting for after years of his unrelenting flirtations with full blown psychopathy.

However, possibly one of the most beautiful scenes in the history of the show comes as Charlie discovers more about his heritage than he anticipated. To deliver this scene and touching moment in the native Gaelige language was nothing short of brilliant and a truly satisfying character arc for Charlie and the mystery of his estranged father.

I was initially skeptical around these episodes being based in Ireland, being from there and being a huge fan of IASIP, I was praying to not be disappointed. Now it seems there is the potential that they might just churn out one of the most memorable run of episodes in the entire show. Here's hoping. So far, so very very good.

Back on track
adamossey23 December 2021
Despite my concerns with the first 3 or 4 episodes this season, the gang goes to Ireland two parter is a promising return to form, not to mention the hilariously heartbreaking ending.

Can they please just shut up about Covid tho? I'm just sick of talking about it.

Episode 1506

A fairly good episode here. The show may not be up to snuff like it was in the glory days, but a lot of laughs amidst some highly outrageous storylines they have going on right now.

Hilarious episode
sazock_the_wazock23 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has one my favourite Dennis moments of all time- when he's trying to stifle his cough in the estate agents. Honestly, I've watched it a few times now and every time it kills me. One of the best laugh out loud moments from the season and probably one my favourite moments of the whole show! Also, Dennis' descent into covid-fuelled madness is so funny. Dennis is my favourite character anyway and I feel like this was a culmination of his increasing sociopathic behaviour.

Astounding!
tfgmmz18 December 2021
Great respect to the creators of the Ireland episodes! Funny, emotional, clever and deep. Thanks!

So, I need at least 150 characters. IASIP does not need that many to be one of the best shows.

THEY ARE A SPECIAL GROUP
mkayseryan23 December 2021
The castle added a lot of fun to the episode, you guys have to realize how difficult it is to still be funny after all these years. I loved the episode ! Especially the Dennis scenes.

The CGI wore off & funny replaced it. Yeh.
rochfordsimon17 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I've accepted the cringey CGI acting inserts (horrible stuff) and the fact that the gang aren't really Ireland.

That aside very funny episode. Colm Meaney, while good, doesn't show his full range as a comedy actor. But some hilarious stuff in it as a Covid-19 Dennis and Dee is quite funny.

More piss taking going on of the Irish than in the previous episode, Which is good.

Looking forward to the next one.

Who knew Charlie could speak Gaelic!

Love Sunny Always - But, C'mon
rundmc123428 December 2021
With the covid. Particularly the plotline that Dennis got it because he was unvaccinated. They don't let you into Ireland if you didn't get the injection. So this made no sense. (Maybe intentionally???) The funny thing is I bet virtually all uninjected people know that but the injected don't seem to be too aware.
