HollywoodNews.com: “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” will host a weeklong celebration of the Rolling Stones beginning May 10, saluting the re-release of the band’s 10th studio album “Exile on Main Street.” Regarded as one of the greatest albums in rock ‘n’ roll history and one of the most defining of the Stones’ catalogue, “Exile” will be available in the U.S. May 18. The weeklong event is being sponsored by Bud Light Golden Wheat, culminating in a special limited commercial broadcast on Friday, May 14th.
“We’re very excited that ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ is devoting a special week to ‘Exile on Main Street’ with our new documentary ‘Stones In Exile’ premiering for the first time ever in the U.S. on Friday,” said the Rolling Stones.
Spotlighting tracks from the album, the “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” musical guests will perform selected songs from “Exile on Main Street” each night during the week.

Publisher's Note: This is not a routine practice, but a local drinking friend of mine and the only Phish fan I know in the world, was kind enough to offer his perspective on Phish 3D, currently in theaters, thus saving any one of the regular critics here from having to share air space with dirty hippies and possibility of contracting impetigo. This is his review. -- Dr
Why would someone go to a Phish concert? 1) To see ass kicking music? 2) to hang with your phriends and phamily? 3) to be where the party is, dude? Why would someone go to see Phish 3D? Because I wanted to see great music, and I didn't get to go to the Festival 8 last Halloween, which is where the movie was filmed.
Phish 3D. Do you really need the glasses? From the opening shot of Page's piano in the foreground, you knew the 3D was worth it.

Surely you’ve heard the hubbub. Robert Downey Jr. and Jon Favreau graced us with their presence at a sneak screening of Iron Man 2 on Tuesday (aka, raddest Tuesday ever!). You can read all about that Here, but fair warning, you might get a little jealous. Be comforted by the fact that I didn’t see Rdj either. What a handsome fellow…
No Time For Moping! We’ve got too much fun stuff to do. First of all, tickets for the Second Screening Of Weird Al Live In Person go on sale in less than 24 hours! Fact. Don’t miss the sale or there will be no Wheel of Fish for you! Also, Fantastic Fest 2008 favorite The Good, The Bad, And The Weird opens Friday at S. Lamar. This movie is pure fun, not to mention its gorgeous visuals (and a couple of the actors.

Tk Trey Anastasio of the band Phish will appear in the new film “Phish 3D.”
Phish fans who couldn’t make it to the rock band’s three-day “Festival 8” concert in Indio, Cal. last fall will have their next-best chance to experience the performance in movie theaters across the country next week. “Phish 3D” opens Friday, April 30 in dozens of U.S. cities for a one-week run. Advance screenings were held Tuesday in nine locations, showing the group Rolling Stone magazine called “the most important band” of the 1990s.
In typical Phish fashion, the film is short on talk and heavy on music, featuring numerous, lengthy jams culled from the 16-hour concert, including popular Phish songs like “Tweezer” and “Maze,” several tunes from the band’s first-ever acoustic set and a few songs from its Halloween night “musical costume” performance of the Rolling Stones album “Exile On Main Street.” The...

The best thing about the new “Phish 3D” film was actually Kenny Chesney.
More on that in a bit.
Everything else about the advanced “Phish 3D” screening they staged Tuesday night at The Bridge – and in several U.S. cities on this hallowed 4/20 – was excruciating.
That is to say I experienced actual physical pain, and considerable mental anguish, while watching it.
Forty minutes in, I left the theater.
Just so we’re clear as I get going here, I love Phish. I was in the 11th row when they ushered ...
