Definitely the best aromantic and/or asexual representation on media I've ever seen. I couldn't believe it when I found out the creator wasn't really under the aro/ace umbrella, he just wanted to write a story without romance. It's so well-researched as well. The usual form of aroace representation is usually a timid, smart character who's visibly repulsed by romance and sex. But Koisenu Futari gives us two completely different aroaces, one aroace who is not at all interested in romance or sex at all and just wants to grow cabbages, and one aroace who quite enjoys romance but doesn't really enjoy sex. Of course this is not the entire spectrum, but Koisenu Futari doesn't disappoint us in showing us others in the same spectrum with completely different opinions on romance and sex. I've really enjoyed the part where Sakiko meets other aspec people to learn more about her sexual orientation and with that scene Koisenu Futari also shows the audience that aroace marriages, aromantic people being in a relationship, raising child together and asexual people having sex are all completely valid parts of the spectrum. It's a great recommendation if you'd like to introduce someone to the aroace spectrum.

This series has a great representation for aromantic and asexual people: it explains the terminology as well as points out the common struggles that they face in a society that places too much emphasis on romance. The sense of community and hope is shown by the fact that the main characters gradually find more support, like-minded people and an unexpected ally.
With beautiful visuals and a vibe that's relaxing but isn't slow, this show warms the hearts of those who can personally relate to the main characters, while providing a lesson to the ones who would like to learn more about these identities.

A gentle and healing drama

This might be the first drama I've watched with aromantic and/or asexual representation in it, and it's surprisingly addressed really well in the show. It explores the struggles of the aroace community without the story being too heavy, and the characters generally remain quite upbeat throughout the show. As the leads gradually figure things out and gain support from those around them, the show also shows us the varying opinions people have on love and their reasons for romantic relationships. I liked how in the end, for all the characters, it's really about understanding yourself and making peace with yourself. A healing and heartwarming drama, I really enjoyed this one a lot.
