Can a leopard change its spots?

Pam resents becoming a social outcast and hatches a plan to frame Russ a second time for Betsy's murder. Devoid of empathy, she stages a fatal home invasion, hence leaving no witnesses to contradict her control of the narrative; a true psychopath.

Intoxicated by the luminance of her own superiority, Pam plans to manipulate events. Sadly for a narcissist she discovers she is neither as charismatic nor as intelligent as she thought. Of course she still does not believe that!

A beautiful retelling, sensitively portrayed in well-paced, poster-book style with a light touch of humour. Renée Zellweger (Pam Hupp) and Judy Greer (DA Leah Askey) were fabulous throughout.

Good television

This show was just camp enough to work. Renee Zellweger is amazing and captures her character so well. That character, Pam Hupp, is a great example of the type of psychopath that lives amongst us. Many, thankfully, don't go off the rails as Hupp did. But when they do...hirrible things happen. I feel for all of her victims. When a psychopath is aided by ambitious and morally ambiguious people like the overzealous police and district attorney in this case, you end up with tragedy. Pam Hupp reminds me greatly of Betty Broderick and her crazy story. People get chewed up and spit out as though they were nothing but cannon fodder.

The miniseries was entertaining, and I can easily see Emmy Awards for Zellweger and Pam Greer.

It Rolls to an End

We mortals all want her to get what she deserves. It is a little unsatisfying. The police do a stupid thing, leaving a potential weapon in an interrogation room. She goes to the bathroom and begins to stick it in her neck, causing quite a bit of damage. I don't know if she thought it would create sympathy, but it was quite dramatic. I mean, she is about as psychotic as one could be. She killed her own mother, an innocent man, her neighbor (for whom she has not been charged). From a viewer's standpoint it is a little unsatisfying. She pleads guilty, accepts life imprisonment, and never has to face a jury. Actually, a little out of character. I think it would be fun now to watch the dateline episode. We are given some biographical information about the principles in the show.

You get what you deserve

The wild ending to this story that I honestly did not see coming, what a crack pot. At least in a way justice was served. Good follow up at the end on the real people.

Hours lost, what a shame

This was the dumbest thing I've seen in years. Campy isn't sufficient enough to describe this train wreck. My wife and I started it, and finished it at hopes it my get better, it didn't. Why anyone . I played solitaire quite a bit. If bad film making was a felony, it's guilty ..
