Delmond Lambreaux plays the beginning of "The Second Line" similar to the version on the "Spirits of Congo square" by Donald Harrison Jr for his dad, Big Chief Albert Lambreaux of Guardians of the Flame on WWOZ. Donald Harrision Sr. was the first Big Chief of Guardians of the Flame. His son Donald Harrison Jr followed in his footsteps as the second Big Chief.
This episode, set on Thanksgiving Day 2006, shows a Rocky and Bullwinkle balloon in the Macy's Parade, but the balloon was dropped from the parade in 2000.
First of two episodes in the series to be directed by actor Tim Robbins. Indeed, this is only the second time that Robbins has directed for a TV series - he did an episode of Queens Supreme (2003) eight years earlier.
