This is one of Jacob Pitts' favorite episodes as his character, Tim, gets to spend more time in the spotlight, caretaking a very wayward Raylan.
Raylan uses the expression "getting his ashes hauled" when addressing the man he finds lurking outside Gary's house late at night, which is a euphemism for sexual release, often found in blues lyrics.
When Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) pulls up to the Bennetts' general store, he parks next to a red and blue El Camino. This is the same El Camino used in My Name Is Earl (2005). Olyphant was a guest star in Dad's Car (2006).
