The much-awaited sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian, starring Kamal Haasan in a dual role, is nearing completion. The final stage of filming is currently in progress, and the makers have recently shot an action sequence featuring a younger version of Kamal Haasan’s character Senapathy.
The scene was filmed in Talakona, a forest area in Andhra Pradesh, with the help of prosthetics and VFX to make Kamal Haasan look younger. The director of the film, Shankar, who is known for his grandiose vision and spectacle, was reportedly busy with his next project, a sci-fi thriller tentatively titled Game Changer, starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani. Therefore, he entrusted the action sequence to Arivazhagan, the director of acclaimed films like Eeram and Kuttram 23.
Arivazhagan took to Twitter to share his excitement and gratitude for working with Kamal Haasan and Shankar. He wrote, “It was an honour and a dream come true...

ReviewThe screenplay in the first half is intriguing, with the viewers grappling with the case as much as the lead characters, but the plot becomes less and less convincing as the film progresses.Sowmya RajendranThere's a lot to like in Cold Case directed by debut filmmaker Tanu Balak. It's a police procedural and a supernatural thriller at the same time, with two characters independently arriving at the same questions and answers that lead to solving a puzzle. On paper, this presents a delicious mind game for the audience too (I was reminded in parts of the Tamil thriller Eeram). A skull wrapped in a trash bag that emerges in a fisherman's net is the starting point of the mystery. Forensic analysis says that the murder was committed a year ago, but the police have no idea who the victim is. They first have to figure that out before they can identify the killer.

Chennai, March 17: Why did Tamil director Arivazhagan Venkatachalam wait for four years after his successful directorial debut "Eeram" in 2009? He says he was on the lookout for a big production house to fund his next project "Vallinam".
"A good production house is imperative to a film's success. Even though you may have a good film in place, but without a good production house, it is very unlikely that you may get a wider release. A good banner is an added advantage for every director provided he or she manages to rope in one," Arivazhagan told Ians
