One Fire Lt May Lose His Job
shelbythuylinh13 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So far not yet sold on Pelham. But nearly has one of the female firefighters electrocuted as she survives but Pelham is guilt ridden as he may lose his job over it.

As in the end, he is seen weeping when Boden tells him the horrific news and one retired though not by choice, bitter former fire chief that has had it with Pelham there feels this is revenge over in a personal reason.

Meanwhile as the rest of 51 enter a contest to see who can catch a "fugitive" up for $10K!

Love this show but..........

I agreed with a previous comment. Stella is just too much, how dare her ask such a idiotic question. Kelly is just way too good with her. They are married now since this episode is in the middle of season 10 but I just can not stand her damn faces every five minutes.

On another subject, Kara Kilmer (Sylvie) is or was definitely pregnant by the middle of the season.

I understand they want their privacy, but come on let us be happy with your happy news.

Why
lisajen317 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I have never been so ticked off by an episode, ever. It's the same song but with another person.

Every interaction with Kelly and Kidd were awful. Why would she ask such a stupid question?

So, Kidd is back and now Pelham, who I've grown to like, has to go. Come on and it's done in such a ridiculous way.

I love this show because it reminds me so much of Backdraft and I love that movie. However, some of the story lines make me not want to watch it. Especially when they are repetitive.

Finally some needed new blood-so they got rid of him
alchemist-8184823 April 2022
A new lieutenant is hired full time. And Pelham's back story is actually interesting. Plus-Brett can act. So what do the writers do? They write out the character. And-worst of all!-they bring back the awful Stella Kidd.

I was so happy that she was gone. Miranda of the overacting, gurning, pulling faces, pouting (none of that could possibly cover for the fact that she's simply awful. Plus-in real life, it's just not on to be crawling all over the boyfriend when at work.

Stella does so much crawling-and even the actor playing Severide looks uncomfortable-nothing at all creepy about that, is there?

Now two other main characters are leaving the show-no need to even ask why, is there? Someone please send the ridiculously talentless Otto away. Anywhere. Far, far away...

Not this plot AGAIN!
kauaidan13 January 2022
I feel sorry for whomever is writing for this series. Such a poor lack of imagination. I don't know why the same plot keeps popping up over and over in varying forms. If any Fire Department in this country is really as cut throat as this show depicts I don't want to live in that city.

Just dumb
rosa_alba-741302 June 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Now i have seen these episodes with Lieutenant Pelham and the jerk Kilbourne 3-4 times.

I still don't get what is Kilbournes problem, besides from being a jerk ?

Why is he so personally invested in getting Pelham kicked out ?

It can't be because he saw Pelham deck his superior officer, that would make no sense at all. The captain Pelham hit, resigned voluntarily, and bears no grudge.

Now of course Kilbourne is being sneaky, but it still makes no sense.

Also - Kilbourne is of the same rank as Boden, so what can he do, if Boden has decided that he wants to keep Pelham ?

There is just too many plotholes.
