A worthy conclusion for an amusing TV show
destracricetale18 September 2013
Boris is a comedic serial about the staging of a soap opera, the fictional Heart's eye, with a political and social satire. The main character is played by Pannofino, the actor voice of several American star, underrated but very effective as ironic actor.

After 3 seasons they made this movie that add a final episode to the saga. If you are a fan of the series you will enjoy this even if there is not real innovation since the characters done the same performance and mannerism but, since the writing is good as usual, is not really a flaw. If you are not a fan or not know the series Boris the movie is hardly fun : you'll miss all the citation and the quotes. The very finale is not that good, too farcical for be believable.

It worth a view.

A sad ending
stefanozucchelli2 February 2022
Although it is a comedy, this movie shows us that in the end the protagonist has to bend to the dynamics of the market and sacrifice his art to work. Defeated by the reality of the facts, he reluctantly abandons the '' elevated '' cinema for petty and vulgar comedy.

Pretty great movie for a pretty great show

This review is biased, cause I love the show, it's my favorite italian series. It's timeless and hilarious and tragic, and its success can be attributed both to witty and comically sharp writing and to how much the bleak absurdity resonates with people that watch it. Now the movie is basically an entire season compressed in 100 minutes, and the theme is movies instead of tv, so the meta narrative keeps going. Italian cinema suffers just as much as tv for its dry and unappealing offerings. It's not a movie that can be watch separately from the show, which is maybe a waste of opportunity. The story is basically the continuation of the series, and it doesn't waste any time putting you up to speed. The pacing of the story is a little strange, might have been better structured. The plot itself is very much a repetition of the plot of the last season, but with enough different ideas to justify its existence. Not much to say, really: it's very much part of the Boris canon, and if you liked the show you'd like this movie, if you hated the show stay away from this movie at all costs. The cinematography is more sophisticated than the show, the actors are still on their A game, there are a lot of jokes and memes and creativity. All in all a very good movie, and the best conclusion of the show. No, season 4 doesn't exist, I reject it, sorry.

Beautiful

Film that serves as a bit of a conclusion to one of the most beautiful Italian comic series there is. As a film it is quite good and makes you laugh giving other little pearls on Italian cinema, but it is less brilliant than the series and this is a real shame because the rest is very nice.

Another useless Italian comedy
filippobesana6 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
* Story * Wacky comedy about the unlikely story of a filmmaker whose work is only way to make movies that did not like. The only ones to appreciate his movies are the audience.

* Screenwriter * The setbacks in the production of a film are different, but it is clear the effort from writer to make a film 108 minutes long. The plot is poor, no twists or emotions. Perhaps the film is designed for children who play with vulgar farts, belches and so on ...

* Stars * Mediocre actors interpret roles and no easy undertaking. The film has a slow pace and most of the scenes can be cut without the storyline affected. The only nice thing is the landscape: the landscape in Italy are much better actors.

* Conclusions * It is unclear how Italians can enjoy films like this ....
