Saying goodbye is never easy, and fortunately in television, there are lots of ways to avoid goodbyes altogether. As Being Human wraps its third season, it is saying goodbye to fans for a few months until it returns for its fourth season. Similarly the fate of Amy Aquino’s character Donna is kind of in limbo right now as the supernaturally infused-series has a habit of bringing back its characters from the dead on more than one occasion. Death is not as ironclad point of no return in Being Human. I am a huge fan of short films but the problem is, there are 100 times more shorts made than features, therefor trying to figure out which are worth your time can be quite the chore. Recently Michael Ryan joined the Sound On Sight team, helping us out with our Fantasia Film Festival coverage, and well he has been pretty much a blessing. What people don’t know is that Michael is also the is the Festival Director for the YoungCuts Film Festival. The fest is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the announcement of 2011’s Top 100 short films by the world’s best young filmmakers 25 and under. Oasis HD will present the films at Montreal’s Guzzo Spheretech theatres from Friday, September 30th to Sunday, October 2nd.

CBC, a Canadian TV network, announced today that it will renew its half-hour spy comedy InSecurity for a second season. For the moment, tno premiere date has been announced for the second season.
The show is centred on Alex Cranston (Natalie Lisinska), the team leader of a group of spies. Together, they work for a fictitious Canadian federal organization called the National Intelligence Security Agency (Nisa). While these spies always screw up on a mission, they always find a way to succeed at the end of the day.
The show also stars Richard Yearwood, Grace Lynn Kung, Matthew MacFadzean, William deVry and Rémy Girard.
