A New And Exciting Film Maker Is On The Horizon
janelle1378 August 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Deep Williams is a new film maker that certainly has what it takes. I have seen several of his short films and they have all been moving and thought provoking. And every Deep film seems to have a surprise ending. It is amazing to me how he is able to lead the audience to view a situation one way in the beginning and then give them another way to view things at the end that is both believable and unpredictable. Deep again follows this pattern in his latest film The Life Walk. It is a powerful film that will cause you to re-examine what you are doing with your life and who you are spending your time with.

The Life Walk is a family film, however toward the beginning of the movie, a woman is about to give birth. She is crying out in pain as she is being driven to the hospital. This scene is a little intense and may be too much for younger children.

Incredible work of art

Deep Williams is a genius when it comes to film making that evokes emotions and life situations that are about substance. In time I hope we will all have the pleasure of experiencing his work on the big screen. His concepts are amazing and brings things that we take for granted in our everyday life to the forefront for us to see and think about. I always enjoy watching his films. I never know how they will end. I have to admit I have been surprised after I thought I knew the ending. He is also very good at choosing good characters and actors to support the concept he is trying to portray. I'm always touched and moved by his films. He is a director the industry should take notice of. There is room for his talent, creativity and skill.

A Heartwarming Film
klmenzies24 August 2010
A wonderful and heartwarming film. It was uplifting to see the father's course correction in the story rather.

An excellent exploration of "What if?" but done without ever losing it's place in reality.

I highly recommend this film for anyone at any age.

Really great performances all around. I particularly enjoyed Stewart Scot's nuanced performance.

Artfully shot. Thought provoking.

Recommended to me by friends, as I will be recommending to my friends. I will be looking for other films by this director.

Wonderful

What a wonderful film. It's great to see a story that provokes family values and makes you think about your own "life walk". Deep Williams is just starting his journey as a director, but I can see from this film he is on his way to becoming a movie artist who sticks to good moral and values. I don't want to give away the plot, but it's inspiring and very uplifting.

The cast is also great. My favorite is little boy who pulls at your heart strings. His performance grabs your heart and makes you think about your own young children. I look forward to Deep's future films. If they are anything like "The Life Walk", they will be thought provoking and inspiring.

This film is two films in one. The second half is well worth the wait.

This film is really two films in one and I especially enjoyed the second one. The first story is a delivery sequence that aims to capture the excitement and humor of a young couple giving birth for the first time. It is a bit long and the jazz score throughout the sequence creates a sense of anxiety that does not compliment the humorous, upbeat tone of the scenes. However, the actors performances are solid and the production value is good.

The real story is the second portion of the short. It is a very thought-provoking and moving tale about a father and son relationship. The nature of this relationship is a sharp contrast to the excitement of new birth. The filmmaker does an excellent job of quickly drawing viewers into the lives of these two very identifiable characters, and making us care. While this is a story about a father and son; moms, dads, sons and daughters will all identify themselves and relate to it. I really enjoyed this stroll through the walk of life, especially the surprising plot twist towards the end.

Keep the films coming, Deep Williams. You are an inspiration to us all.

loved it
aunika22 August 2010
I loved this movie - in just 20 minutes, I found myself laughing, and crying, and falling in love with a little boy I don't even know. But this movie doesn't just connect with your emotions, Mr. Williams threw in an interesting twist to surprise you!!! I found it very entertaining as well as quite touching...

I don't know what else to say about the story without giving anything away, so I'll just say that all the actors were very good (especially the young boy who truly grabs your heart) and the story was very believable. I'm definitely going to recommend it to my son who is expecting his first son very soon.
