Sara Rue, who hosted the CW’s reality series Shedding For The Wedding last season, is back at the network, this time as the creator/star/producer of a multi-camera comedy project. The network has bought Poseurs, which follows Lucy (Rue), a young woman whose life is upended when her fiancée moves out and her fresh-from-rehab collegiate best friend, Alexandra, moves in. The two friends pose as a lesbian couple and actually get married in order to stay in the nice apartment building that only allows married couples. Rue will write the Warner Bros. TV-produced project, which has received a script commitment, and will serve as a co-executive producer, while her long-time manager Alan David will be a producer. Apa-repped Rue is recurring on CBS’ Rules Of Engagement.

The new reality show combines ‘Biggest Loser’ and ‘Bridalplasty’ by uniting the worst elements of both shows. Why?
Every bride and groom (?) longs to look their best on their wedding day and now, thanks to the fine folks at CW, America can watch that struggle first hand as nine couples attempt to shed pounds for their dream wedding in the new reality show Shedding For The Wedding. Why work out at home or your local gym when this is an option?
The premiere episode of this equal gender offender introduced everyone to the nine fine teams aiming for the emaciated wedding of their dreams, and clearly willing to go to any G-list fame inducing way of achieving that goal. No sooner had this crop of newly engageds been introduced to their trainers then they were competing in their first challenge — a dance-a-thon!
Well, rather a “dance-a-thon.” Maybe move-a-thon is a better word.

The Shedding For The Wedding host, who is planning to marry her teacher fiancé Kevin Price at the end of May, discussed the ceremony during an appearance on CBS's The Talk on Monday. "The whole thing will be fun," she said. "We don't want anything super-traditional. We are having a non-denominational ceremony and we want beer pong at the reception! "One, because it's awesome! And two, because we actually met playing beer pong! It's kind of cute and kind of upsetting." Rue also spoke about her hosting (more)...

Nothing too surprising was revealed when The CW announced its midseason schedule, except for the fact that Hellcats is moving to Tuesday nights so that the new series Shedding for the Wedding can be paired with the next new cycle of America's Next Top Model.
Life Unexpected will also be airing a two-hour series finale on January 18. Technically they're calling it the season finale, but hope for another season is kind of slim. Below is a list of the midseason schedule, along with the return dates for The CW's shows.
