During the voice recordings, Sam Witwer had reportedly corrected Director Dave Filoni on a script error. In the original script, Anakin was suppose to talk with his deceased mother on meeting his wife, Padme. In the studio, Sam had pointed out the flaw in the script as Anakin's mother had already met Padme prior in The Phantom Menace.
This episode brought back four Star Wars actors from different media. Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon-Jinn) and Pernilla August (Shmi Skywalker) voiced the characters they portrayed in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Sam Witwer (The Son) and Adrienne Wilkinson (The Daughter) were voice actors in the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008), playing Starkiller and Marris Brood respectively.
