This compact and compelling 52 minute documentary provides an illuminating glimpse at the arduous conditions that the cast and crew of "Frozen" faced while making the movie on an actual mountain in bitterly cold weather. Among the things we learn are that the cast and crew had to take either a snowplow or a snow cat to the set, writer/director Adam Green pushed his cast to the limit to get the best out of them, some days eight pages of script were done in a single take, Dan's death was always meant to happen off screen, Emma Bell's mother was present on the set on a day that Bell did a very difficult major emotional scene, and working with the wolves was not surprisingly a real daunting endeavor. Perhaps the most amusing and entertaining segment focuses on hyperactive production assistant Cody Blue Snider (a.k.a. Sniderman), whose boundless energy and goofy antics kept everyone's spirits up throughout the grueling shoot. Moreover, Kevin Zegers admits that playing fear was a big challenge while Shawn Ashmore took a serious beating from a boarder collie and earned the respect of cast and crew alike for being so cooperative. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
