A new trailer for contemporary road trip drama, Safelight, has arrived online courtesy of Indiewire. Written and directed by Tony Aloupis, who made his directorial debut on the movie, it originally acquired attention under the name Truck Stop before it was recently retitled. Whatever its monicker, there’s no doubt the light is shining firmly on the film’s two rising stars, Evan Peters and Juno Temple.
In the 70s-set movie, the pair play a couple of friends, Charles and Vicki, who wend their way up the California coast in a bright red convertible. He’s on a mission to snap photos of every lighthouse on their route for a photography contest, and she’s a runaway without anywhere else to go. Their relationship is explored via the good old road trip framework that usually offers plenty of scope for introspection and heady life realizations.

Sugar is a touching story that gives viewers a glimpse into the growing homeless youth population in Venice Beach, but it’s still missing a few morsels.
Based on the nine months director Rotimi Rainwater spent on the streets, Sugar is the story of a young girl who took to the streets after losing her entire family in a car crash. On the streets, she and her outcast friends look out for one another and survive however they can. To them, living on the streets is a better option than the lives that they ran away from.
This film was made with a lot of heart. Shenae Grimes (Sugar), as well as the rest of the cast, took care and consideration into the roles that they were playing. Whether it be a drug addict or a thief, the film still showed the humanity behind it. Having said that, I would...

Rising actress Juno Temple has made quite a name for herself recently, playing layered, twisted roles in both William Friedkin's “Killer Joe” and Gregg Araki's much-underrated “Kaboom,” and it looks like she will continue the trend as she joins Tony Aloupis' feature directorial debut, “Truck Stop,” alongside Evan Peters of “American Horror Story” fame.
Deadline report that the film, which is set in the 1970s, follows the coming-of-age relationship between a high-schooler with cerebral palsy, played by Peters, and a disturbed runaway battling demons of her own (Temple). Aloupis, who last wrote the indie film “Sugar,” (not the Boden/Flick baseball drama, but an upcoming ensemble film about homeless teens) has an interesting premise on his hands, and definitely has the cast to pull it off. Peters was solid in the first season of the uneven-but-compelling “American Horror Story,” and Temple will be invading the public spotlight...

2012 is shaping up to be a watershed moment for British ingénue Juno Temple. The Dirty Girl star will not only appear in the much-buzzed about, celeb-stuffed biopic Lovelace, which centers on the tragic tale of America's first porn icon Linda Lovelace, but also the hotly anticipated finale to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy The Dark Knight Rises. Still, Temple is committed to the continue challenging herself by tackling roles in daring indie efforts. Deadline reports that Temple has signed on to star opposite Evan Peters (American Horror Story, Kick-Ass) in the 1970′s-set coming-of-age drama Truck Stop. Writer turned writer-director Tony Aloupis (Sugar) will make his directorial debut on the feature that centers on the friendship that evolves between a high schooler suffering from cerebral Palsy (Peters) and an edgy runaway with a troubled past (Temple). Soon to shoot in Los Angeles, the drama will give each of the young actors...

After scaring millions of viewers in the first season of American Horror Story, Evan Peters is returning to his spot on the big screen alongside Juno Temple for a coming-of-age drama. According to Deadline, the pair will be leading writer-director Tony Aloupis‘s feature debut, titled Truck Stop.
The ’70s-set drama “centers around an unlikely friendship between a high-schooler with cerebral palsy (Peters) and a troubled runaway with a dark past (Temple)”. The first-time director collaborated on Rotimi Rainwater‘s 2011 film, Sugar, of which he lent his writing talent to. The Hacienda Film Company’s Cory Neal and Andrew Mysko will produce alongside Aloupis Productions’ Joe Kreig.
To be honest, I’m not all that familiar with Temple‘s work — which is kind of sad on my part, mainly because she has been gaining celebrity status in the recent years with her work in The Three Musketeers, as well as the upcoming Linda Lovelace biopic,...

Shenae Grimes just inked a new tattoo, the hat of Disney's character Peter Pan, on the back of her left ear. The Annie Wilson of the CW's hit series "90210" decided to add another permanent art on her skin soon after meeting tattoo artist Ami James at the launch of Wooster Street Social Club in Soho. Later, she took to her personal blog to explain that the tattoo is actually a memorial for her dear friend who had inspired her.
"I won't go into much detail as it's a very personal tattoo for me but it was a memorial tattoo for an amazing person in my life who was my very own Peter Pan," the 21-year-old Canadian actress wrote on her official page. "The hat from my favorite Disney character is a symbol of this person's full life and contagious smile that will always remind me never to take life too...

Corbin Bleu became a children's storyteller during the Starlight Children's Foundation 2011: A Stellar Night Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza on Saturday, March 26 in Century City, Calif. The "Sugar" actor has been serving as an active volunteer worker of the foundation for around two years. At the charity occasion, Bleu read a tale called "The Search for Wonderla" written by Tony Diterlizzi in front of some children.
About the event, Bleu said, "I got invited to one of Starlight's family activity events and fell in love with the organization. I'm actually their national spokesperson at the moment and have been working with them as their spokesperson for about two years now. I think everyone needs to be involved with charity because it's an opportunity to give back."

Whatever you think you know about 90210 star Shenae Grimes probably doesn't tell the whole story. The 21-year-old actress -- who rose to fame in Canada as star of Degrassi: The Next Generation before being cast on The CW teen drama -- is more concerned with finding something that stimulates her intelligence than just the next paycheck role. That means she'll cameo in Scream 4, but balance that bit of mainstream pop with the indie film Sugar, about homeless kids in Los Angeles. That is, if she's not planning to direct her next short film or coming up with documentary ideas.

Shenae Grimes doesn't need a swimsuit to take a dip in the Pacific Ocean. The 90210 actress was spotted swimming in the ocean near Los Angeles whilst fully clothed on Wednesday, January 19. Is this a hot new fashion trend amongst the Young Hollywood set? Hardly, Shenae took the clothed dip while filming a scene for her new film, Sugar. What do you think of Shenae's swim?
