Check out the first trailer for the Danish micro-budget zombie splatter flick Escaping the Dead, which is inspired by a series of articles about the deathdrug “Krokodil” that was published about the same period of time when Ronald Poppo had his face eaten by a naked man hooked on bathsalt in Miami. It is the perfect zombie plot: a deathdrug that turns people into zombies.
David is the local marihuana pusher, but he is the kind of dealer that smokes more than he sells. In the meantime the country has been hit by a new deathdrug and when David and his partner in crime Ahmir is offered some exceptionally cheap cocaine they see it as an opportunity to earn big money at the big techno concert the following Friday, but the cocaine turns out to have a terrible side effect that creates a giant zombie outbreak that spreads across the entire Copenhagen.

Another new zombie flick is on its way, this time showcasing the hazards of using the designer drug Krokodil. In case you're in the dark about that one, it makes your skin flake and then rot off. You know... because smoking pot and getting the munchies just isn't dramatic enough.
Directed by Martin Sonntag and Bastian Brinch Pedersen, the film stars Pedersen (who is also the producer of the film) as David and Rama Øzel as Ahmir along with Daniel Hutera, Ali Öezkan, Iben Ma Bønnelycke, Nicolai Huan Nguyen, Camilla Ludvigsen, and Kim Sønderholm (Blood Fare, The Winedancers, Sinister Visions) playing Lars the policeman.

When Good Holiday’s Go Bad: Rise of the Fiend: “Halloween, that magical night that compels adults to act like children, children to gorge themselves and a host of creatures and ghouls, those nasty beasties that hide under your bed, in your closet or the deepest recesses of your mind, all come out to play, scaring and frightening their human victims; at least, that’s how it was in the old days.

You never know what country the next horror hit might hail from. France? Germany? The UK? If the power-that-be behind Inside The Whore have their way, it'll be Norway!
From the Press Release:
Norwegian film director Reinert Kiil's follow-up to his successful rape-revenge horror thriller Hora (English title, The Whore) is now on the way. Filmed this summer in June/July in Norway, it is not for the faint of heart as the film's tagline describes it as "A meta-film with meta-violence within a meta-production", and it is easily guaranteed to be a film like nothing you have ever witnessed before. The director promises a film that beats Hora by milestones when it comes to cruelty.
Kiil plays himself in the movie, supported by a strong cast of actors such as Viktoria Winge (Max Manus, Cold Prey 1+2), Kim Sønderholm (Westbrick Murders, Blood Fare), Jørgen Langhelle, Dagrun Anholt, Isabel Vibe...
