Exhausting
wrenleung7 March 2022
The whole season consists of Stabler chasing down Wheatley but he is always a few steps ahead. When Stabler gets close, Wheatley finds leverage in different ways to slither out of Stabler's grip, and the cycle continues. I don't know about other viewers, but this is getting exhausting for me.

Walking Through The Valley Of The Shadow Of The Death
yazguloner8 March 2022
We would have watched a more exciting Wheatley finale if the thirteenth episode hadn't been written in a rushed way, as I wrote last week.

It was a good episode but could have been better. With better writing it could nail the wolf universe. Why isn't it written more impressively and solidly?

Bernadette plays very well. Her relationship with Miles was handled well.

However, Angela and her removal, her son and the last... So why are the main topics so superficial.. Why aren't the non-stable characters being deepened? Even the death of Stabler's wife is made to be forgotten

Could be better... Can be better.

Wheatley is to Stabler

Warning: Spoilers
Wheatley's farewell was well done, although they gave us a classic soap ending with his body not being found which means he could be brought back later.

The police would not sacrifice Stabler's mother for everyone else so they would have rushed in and ignored her health, grim as it may seem.

Amazing!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was action-packed and suspenseful with many plot twists. Absolutely loved it. Loved the return of Mykelti Williamson as Preston Webb, Nick Creegan as Richie Wheatley and I loved the cameo Denis Leary made at the end where he reunited with Stabler.

Angela and Wheatley's deaths were both extremely unexpected. I saw Richie's death coming but it was great to see him back.

Moving on...

Warning: Spoilers
May be the unpopular opinion, but while I think the Wheatleys are great characters portrayed by excellent actors, I've felt like the story was just dragging on this season and am happy their arc has come to an end (again, maybe). Personally I think they should have given us a full season of buffer before bringing Richard back to enact his revenge. And I know they'll probably bring him back again, but hopefully much later on in the series. Meanwhile, I'm excited to see where the series goes from here.

So over the top
soapytiger23 January 2023
This one felt rushed to the point of implausibility, with all the stops pulled out. Sure, there was some cool crypto jargon and an anticipated requited moment between two characters, but so much of it felt forced to the point of annoyance. Everyone became an obtuse caricature of themself.

I feel like the Wheatley story arc should have encompassed the entire season, but it was shorted here in mostly coarse fashion. Interesting little morsels like Seb doling out stacks of cash at random could certainly have been extended over a couple episodes.

Another blearing gaffe running throughout the entire series production is the time of day continuity; scene to scene goes from daylight to night as if it were mere minutes. I mean, how long are Ma and Babe farmer out dancing? Five hours? Did they have the tensile joint stamina?

Can the Interminable Wheatley Story FINALLY be Over?
bkkaz4 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Law and Order: Organized Crime is currently the best entry in the franchise on first-run TV. That's not saying much. But at least it has energy and pacing, as well as arguably the best cast right now.

But all that is wasted on a soap opera story that just never seems to end, no matter how much you want it to. It's the kind of show where you can watch the first episode, then skip the next 20, and come in to catch how it wraps up because it's just a bunch of go-nowhere twists and turns to distract everyone from the lack of a narrative. Or watch highlights on youtube.

Tonight's episode finally dispatches two Wheatleys. Unfortunately, it may not be the right one. The first is the punk kid, who they bring out for a minute to get shot. The other is Angela Wheatley, the slithering temptress who may make even the most peace-loving among us want to punch a woman for her evil ways. She's croaked, too, but not in a satisfying way. For all the ugly lies and cheating she's done with a smug, slimy, scummying way, her dispatch is not only disgustingly simple, she also makes the choice. Just really, really lousy writing.

Anyway, the arc may not finally be over because -- TO NOBODY'S SURPRISE -- the main Wheatley's body can't be found. Aye, caramba. That means, of course, the jerk may be back YET AGAIN.

Can someone drive a stake through the Wheatley storyline?

Pretty Much Unwatchable
bldamien9 March 2022
The Wheatley Character and storyline is so unbelievable and too silly and too lfar-fetched to watch anymore.

Dylan M Dermott was fascinating as pro- and antagonists in multiple American Horror Story seasons. He was perfect as Bobby Donnell in The Practice.

However this L&O Org Crime storyline are ridiculous.

Power failure saves the show
spikeluvr5 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Dick Wolf has lost his mind. This series has never risen to the level of Law and Order SVU because it has lousy storylines and worse dialogue. Dylan McDermott was a cartoon villain with crazy eyes twirling his mustache and the police department is so politically driven as to be useless at policing. It's bad enough them not finding Wheatley at the end, raising the possibility of returning one of the campiest villains on tv, they have to start a witch hunt because of public pressure. Nothing like litigating a 23 year career when it's already been investigated several times over on another series. It's no wonder they keep bringing Benson on, they're hoping she'll lend some quality to an otherwise lousy story. The power failure storyline was the only decent part of this episode. Either put it out of its misery or hire some decent writers.

Glad that story line is over. Dragged on, unbelievable how Wheatley just keeps getting clear of all issues. Law and order really reaching for good stories.
